Ok so my call on the flop was to see what the bb would do, I am happy to get it with the donk and I think it will be pretty easy over 2 streets to do it. When mp raises then I think I am likely ahead but by 3 betting him, I likely eliminate the donk and only get him to call when he has ace or boat and with his stats I think his Ax could beat me a lot as he seems the sort of guy who folds A2- A5 etc

On the turn, a bet and a call. I am fearing I am behind now so just call.

Is the river an easy decision either way?
Comments on my thoughts processes?

I would raise the flop to about $5.

I would fold the turn, especially against that nit.

Re: Flop trip aces and not liking it

Just raise the flop like you should with ATC. If MP has a pair, he's probably not folding, and if BB has 99 or something, he's probably coming along.

Turn is kind of iffy since your hand is so underrepped, but it's still pretty hard to imagine that nit leading into two on this board without an Ace. All his Aces beat yours, and he probably has a boat anyway.

River's a really trivial fold.

Min raise the flop to 5 is what you suggested. That sounds like a raise to see where you stand which is usually pretty horrible

Re: Flop trip aces and not liking it

No, that's about half pot raise which is standard on a flop of this texture.

I really doubt he does come along with nines or tens tbh. My raise just screams out I have an Ace which is why I didn't want to do it. I have signalled my hand in a what is becoming a big pot in situation where tbh I am not overly comfortable playing a big pot considering everything.

Considering the flat call if I was to raise I would much prefer to make it 7-8.

Raising a minbet donk doesn't scream out anything other than the fact that you're not willing to relinquish the pot. Raising that [censored] to $5 is equivalent to making a normal cbet on this board.

I disagree. Checking then 3 betting really screams I have an Ace imo. If I raised the donk bet then yeah I agree it could mean anything but considering bb has raised that and I am raising him demonstrates much more strength

Raise flop to 7 for value, see what happens after that, you have position, use it. I'm generally not folding, and if I'm folding here, I'm folding preflop, because what else can you hope for?

Re: Flop trip aces and not liking it

No one wants you to 3-bet, you're misunderstanding what he's saying.

Going broke here against a nit isn't very good. He is never going to get to the river in a big pot with worse.

Meh, that is just flawed thinking, Just because I raised pf and hit a certain flop doesn't mean I can't fold because I played the hand to begin with, your just burning money doing that

Ok, let's just make it clear as I might have misunderstood.
Are you saying make it 5 after the donk bet or after the nit raises?

So is blindly calling down two streets with trips and folding to a blank river. You didn't have odds to fill up so fold turn if that's your logic.

I raise turn to $35 and get the remaining in on the riv, who cares if they have a boat or AT+, you're not folding AT in a 3way raised pot when you flop trips

I mean, did you expect him to shut down ever?

You say 'a bet and a call, i'm behind so i just call' - no!

I don't disagree, if I fold the river then I should fold the turn
