Does this make me a winning player?

I will put $100-$200 online and run it up $15-$30. Then let my roommate with absolutely no control play a small tournament. I will go to bed and wake up to a note and a check that says "Hey I lost all $130 here is a check for $180." I will tell him how pissed I am and then let him do it a week later because I am making more off him losing all the money in my account than I will by playing. Only downside is I cant ever move up until I make him quit playing.

He has done this 5 times now and I have made about $230 off of it. So I am up around $230 in 2-2.5 months playing 1 cent 2 cent no limit.

Does this make me a winning player or I just have a retarded roommate?

Oh I am running 12.5BB/100 in the games I play over about 12K hands.

Would yall keep letting him play if he is giving you so much interest on the amount he loses? (One time he lost $130 and gave me a check for $200).

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you are probably a winning player at those limits.

Let him open an account for himself. Stop letting him bust your account. If needed, transfer him the money to get started.

Should it piss me off that this happens or should I shrug it off realizing its +EV (by A LOT).

Urge him to make his own because you are his friend.

Everyone is a winner at .01/.02

idea time! make another account and keep money on both, use one for yourself and keep reloaded the other one for him to bust thus profiting off him.

Its easier and faster to cashout via your roommate with small profits....you problem will be when you make a run and get 500 in your account, will he still pay then too?

He's playing for pennies. 30 PTBB/100 (60 big blinds/100) may be sustainable in those games. The lowest level NL game available is always filled with terrible players trying to give their money away, whether that is with a $0.02 big blind online or a $2 big blind live.

It seems to me that it depends on how much you value your friendship and your reputation. If he's a roommate not a friend, he can afford it and you're happy taking $230 for nothing - then you're a winner!

If it was me, I'd give the guy a little friendly advice and tell him to either stop playing poker or to at least read a few books and open his own account. But then I'm a fish living in a little lake who doesn't want the other fish to point at me.

Funny! Interesting twist to being a profitable poker player!

Well he is a roommate. We have discussed that when one of us sees the other persons car in the parking lot it is depressing knowing that the appartment is occupied.

He is actually better at cards than me but he has no management. I cant tell you how many times he has taken $100 to $1000 to $0 in a matter of hours. Actually his most impressive feat was taking $1.36 to $328 to $1.95 back to $250 to $0 in about 43 straight hours of play.

That is incorrect. Do you see why?
