Prop bet: eat a glass bottle for $20
 

me and my friend jason "the Windscreen wiper" Jones have this bet going. He reckons I couldn't possibly eat a glass bottle (375ml), but I think I can. I can break it up as much as I want but I have to eat it all within 40 minutes. I saw a guy do something like this on TV and I have pretty strong teeth and a healthy mouth so I reckon I have a really good chance imo. If I win I get $20 but if I lose i have to give him $50.

What do you guys think?

Thats a very good point.

I wonder what would happen if you combined the two prop bets? 1/2 a glass bottle, 1/2 a bag of lemons. That'd be cool.

I think you should decide not to eat the glass bottle and just pay your friend. Maybe if the stakes were a hundred times higher it would make sense to take this bet and try to win it. As it stands it's just stupid, it would almost make more sense to do it as a pure dare rather than a prop bet for chump change.
If you decide to go ahead anyway, I recommend
- breaking it into small chunks
- tumbling them until they're smooth
- eating the pebbles (and dust if friend insists, but mix it into a binder like dough first)
Of course, that only works if the time limit on *eating* is 40 minutes but you have as much time as you want for preprocessing.

Or maybe, even better, lets make "The Worlds Largest Prop Bet" We combine all the prop bets into one BIG prop. It'd be like this.

To win, you've got to:

Eat 1/2 a Bag of Lemons in 24 Hours.
Eat 1/2 a Glass Bottle in 24 Hours.
Drink 1 Gallon of milk in 1 hour.
Drink 50 Beers in 24 Hours.
and do 10000 Pushups in 24 Hours.

I'd make my line at 300-1.

Of course, all this has to be done in a single 24 hour period.
