Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
Flop and turn are standard -- I would probably bet slightly more on both streets. This looks like a J with a club - I think any set is raising your flop bet. I value bet this river and re-evaluate if he raises.

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
How much would you bet river?

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
This is a really tough spot, but he CC from the BB, so that helps... did he slow play a NF or small flush or play an 88 or 85 this way scared of a flush? I'm interested what you did....

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
I would bet more on flop- I'm trying to get it all in ASAP.
As played I would snapcall river. He doesn't have a 5 calling two streets on this board. Most likely a good J, maybe even A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Jx. possible he has the nut flush, but why get jiggy after the board pairs? Maybe a frustration/idiot push with the nut flush. Or is he actually nitty enough to c/c a set of eights twice fearing a made flush? W/E. we win enough. Call. See AcJd. |
Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
call, you see J and high club very often here. i bet ~2.50 flop, ~6 turn, and lead out for ~10-13 on river here. If raised, then we face a difficult decision, but a fold is probably in order. The river raise is in order because i see AcJx calling often here.

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
I certainly do not like the check here....
probably would make a bet of ~12 here and re think a reraise, certainly a rr makes for a tough decision. |
Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
10-12?

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
fold please I like the check on turn the block bet on river. The flush board makes 45 hands right off the bat. And players love to play there flopped sets scared on these boards until the river. Forget that you have the King of clubs, thats just a cushion.
Fold... |

I have folded it.

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
i like flop and turn fine.
River is tough because it's hard to make a blocking bet without ending up pot committed. Assuming you've got $25 at the start of the hand, you have $17 odd left by the river, so betting $10 pretty much forces you to call a raise. Reads on villain would help a lot. |
Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
no reads on him. I was new there.

Re: PL 25 - KK and 3flush flop
meh, i don't have pokerstove on this PC, but i would imagine that you're ahead often enough for a call to be +EV, but not massively so.
You only need to be ahead 1/3 of the time to make EV, so even if you lose more than you win, the call can be +EV. I'm surprised how often this is a busted draw, but I hate the variance of these calls. |
