watching the Rams/9ers now. God help those Rams. With Pace and Hill out, it's bad enough. Compound that with Gore losing his mother this week, and I would be afraid. I think Gore is going to run with no mercy here.

Will likely be flicking in between the Rams and Panthers games, early choice of games looks a bit lame

Steelers sporting some ugly throwback jerseys this week. But Parker is having a good start and Big Ben just ran for 10 yards. Good drive so far.

Watching Titans/Colts. Fisher just made a good call, went for it on 4th and 1 on the 40ish and ran the ball. Colts completely stuffed them for a yard loss though...

Remind me again why the Colts are spending non-insignificant cap space on a mediocre kicker?

Re: Week 2 NFL Thread

omg this is retarded.

Deuce is called down on the field but he "Fumbles." they challenge it.

From the best angle you have to slow it down frame by frame to see that maybe, just maybe the ball came loose.

And then you can't even tell who recovered it, just that eventually BArret Ruud rips it ouf of Deuce's hands when they're on the ground.

So of course it's reversed, Tampa's ball.

Jesus Christ, the Saints running all these short little routes with 4 wide is [censored] annoying. Throw the goddammn ball downfield.

It doesn't matter if you can't tell who recovered it...if someone comes out of the pile and theres no definitive evidence that someone from the other team had it and was down by contact then they get it.

Jack of Arcades 09-16-2007 01:43 PM

Re: Week 2 NFL Thread

Which is silly, given that you need conclusive evidence to reverse the decision that it's Saints ball.

switching between 9ers bengals and titans since skins arent playing and I have fantasy interest

Re: Week 2 NFL Thread

But the challenge had nothing to do with who recovered it(I'm not watching the game, but I assume). It had to do with whether or not it was a fumble. My guess is that there was never any dispute over who recovered it....ok, I'm done nitpicking.

omg the saints playcalling is terrible

3rd and 2? let's run a toss to Deuce McAllister.

Everything about a play is reviewed. If they would've come to the conclusion that it was a fumble but the Saints recovered it, it would have been Saints ball.

We're on opposite sides; Lions fan here. Good luck though. At least one of us gets to start 2-0 this year.

Also, whoever is watching the Saints, why are they so inept this week? I don't understand what is going on with that offense...has Brees lost his touch or what?

BULLOCK got shaken up by a WHITE GUY...LOLOL!!!

I love watching over-matched Titans defense playing the intimidation game vs. Colts offense. Can't wait to see Colts blow this thing wide open...

agreed. What I'm saying is that they almost NEVER rule that one player had it in the scrum and was down by contact but then lost it in the pileup.
