I'm in down maybe 200 chips. To me tournaments are like having a job, you can't leave when you feel like it and they tell when you can go to the bathroom.

I don't have a job, so any amount of authority exerted upon me brings me back to feeling like a preschool student.

5 card draw PL took 14.5 hours with only 857 players (PLO has 1800)

Re: WCOOP 6max PLO low-content thread

the sick thing about 12 hours is that plo-6 is probably the event that will get the fastest eliminations; yesterday nlhe-6 was 17 and 5cd was 14.5.

It's not that bad, if you play that long you win something, most people will be out in a couple hours

It is, and these tournaments just sucker me in, what with their ridiculously bad play and their winner-take-all machismo payoff.

Re: WCOOP 6max PLO low-content thread

Wow, didn't occur to me that it would take that long for a PLO tournament. Although, I guess if I get deep, I won't mind.

you make $250/table hour?

It's not like you're forced to only play the tournament, if anything it gives you motivation to play a long cash session.

Re: WCOOP 6max PLO low-content thread

ringe games, for the record, are a popular form of horseshoes played in renaissance fairs.

Very nice thinly veiled brag but that means nothing in the tourney world. You win 6-max PLO tourney you're like one of the best ever!

i have alot of trouble playing multiple games at once, and PLO MTT and PLO ring games play really differently.. so if i'm playing one tournament i want to play well then i'm not playing ring games at all.

i have 930 in chips after making what could generously be described as a hero call.

I also started playing a $55 NL and a $11 triple draw. God knows why. Once I start playing one Stars tournament I feel I have to see what else is going on.

I'm just playing the PLO and a FPP satellite. I did bring my laptop into the living room so I could watch football though.

Re: WCOOP 6max PLO low-content thread

In the tourney any time you go out you have to give a reason. There HAS to be a reason with explanation in the tourney mind. Going out this early means that:
A) YOU SUCK and are awful and that I am way better than you
or
B) You got unlucky
or
C) You were using the buildup a huge chip stack and win the tourney or bustout early and go play cash games strategy.

When ever anyone goes out, to simplify explantion all you need say is, "I'm out...(Insert a,b, or c)"

jbird 09-15-2007 03:52 PM

Re: WCOOP 6max PLO low-content thread

what if you go out 2nd?

At least you can watch the football. The game I want to watch (Ireland-Georgia rugby world cup) isn't on the TV and I can't get an online stream without endangering the Stars connection.
