Anyone thinking of going to this tournament from Aruba? And are there any tournaments or anything worthwhile between this and WPT Niagara?

There's my 20 home game with 2k starting chips blinds up every 5 minutes. It's a good alternative to those boorish 10k events.

another Q:

anyone need a roommate from Aruba? I'm leaving for Aruba from London on the 1st, most likely, possibly the 29th, depends on where I want to play the wcoop ME (and how deep i go in the ept)

I'm leaving London, f it. Doing turks then Aruba then maybe Barcelona. No roommates in anything, lmk if anyone is making the trek to any of these

I'm definitely doing London - I've found a place near the casino for about 170/night (USD). I may or may not do Aruba after that.

LOLZ, our hotel room was the same, and a triple room, but it had no Air Conditioning, and was the size of my university(single) dorm room.

Yeah I know, but I don't feel like spending 500USD+ per night to get a nicer place if I'm going to be playing live 10 hours a day or whatever. My only requisites for finding a place were that a) it is close to the casino and b) it has internet access. I then just looked for whatever was cheapest.

its supposed to be like the best casino in spain or something, so I'd hope so... wouldn't want a worse one for sure

Casino-

Opened at 3 pm, and as a result the tournament started at 5 every day. Was kinda [censored], but also kinda nice cause you could go around and do stuff. Problem was though, play went until like 3 am day 1. The dealers were by far the worst I have ever had at a poker tournament. In the past in aruba, atlantis, monte carlo, there were almost no "home town" dealers or whatever, it was all imported ones from wherever. The barcelona dealers were all dealers from the casino and they were dreadfully slow and incompetant, though it got better as there were fewer and fewer tables.

Hotels- The AB Skipper was the one stars put us up at, and it was awesome imo. Great service, sick breakfasts, and ~ 1 block from the casino. It's all right by the port/beaches, and there are a ton of cool spots right near by.

they definitely weren't all hometown dealers, I saw one of them in paris at the aviation club
some of the dealers were very good, but there were at least a few incompetent ones

also the cash games were terrible because they had waaaaaay too few tables/dealers so the wait lists were absurdly long

dunno why its capped at 400, there were 530 or something in the ept

Aruba trip cancelled for me, WCOOP ME played in my apartment no doubt bitching to my roommates that know nothing about poker...
