I [censored] hate tow trucks
 

Like the subject says, I [censored] hate tow trucks. They are outside preying on everyone right now like they have any worth to society other than keeping the retard population at its peak. Tow trucks who tow people's cars for parking violations make my blood boil.

And before anyone says anything about it, yes, I'm a police officer, but I've never had anyone's vehicle towed for parking. I wouldn't have their car towed unless I gave them ample warning to get it moved. I have given many parking tickets, but that is only $5. $5 is better than $150 to get your car back.

yeah, a few days ago my friend went to the doctor's and got there early a bit early so he parked next door and got some coffee at a coffee shop. then he walked over to the doctor's office. came out and his car was towed because he left the property. cost him $190 and ihs car was car to a northern suburb.

i took him up there and the driver said he was sitting in his truck watching my friend drink his coffee and saw him leave the property and just waiting until he was gone before he hooked up his car. freaking scumbags.

Doesn't a cop have to come or something before they can tow you? I had no idea a tow truck driver could just see you do something you're technically not allowed to do and then tow you. Or did the business tow you? Did they have signs up? This seems outrageous to me.

A cop does not have to be there unless they are the ones directing the vehicle to be towed.

The owners of the apts. who own the parking lot have an agreement with the tow truck company to come around and tow cars at their will. Eventhough they have the agreement that doesn't make me like them anymore.

Back in October of 2005, I accidently forgot to put my parking permit on my rearview mirror and I wake up the next day to find my car missing. It was towed, eventhough I pay to park where I do. I was so mad. I ended up having to pay half of the fee to get my car back. That was before I was a police officer. The only thing my landlord did for me was talking the tow truck driver down to half. Ever since then they've been giving everyone warnings that it is not the owner's problem if we get our car towed and it will be at our expense. I find that extremely ridiculous as we PAY to park there, yet we are still not safe from those bastards.

Cops get more [censored] than they deserve, its quite dissapointing really because these guys are out there everyday doing a fairly dangerous jobs that they take an unreasonable amount of [censored] for. I will admit that there are going to be bad apples in every profession, but it is really unfair to paint all cops with the same brush. I have also found that the people with trash talk cops are usually the ones who scream for them the loudest when they need them in the slightest. Italian- hopefully you realize that most people respect you and the job you are doing, dont listen to the haters.

I know there are a lot of people who hate the police. I've basically stopped trying to argue my point because they don't want to listen. Any police related thread that I get involved in turns out to me getting attacked, so I only involve myself for specific reasons. I don't really care if people don't like me due to my profession. It seems that the haters want to express themselves more on here because they are behind a computer and can play with their e-penis at the same time.

I don't necessarily disagree with you about tow truck drivers being scumbags in general. But if you didn't put your parking permit in your window, how do you suppose the tow truck driver is supposed to distinguish between you who rightfully pays to park and some d-bag who doesn't pay and is trying to take up a space that someone else had to pay for? You can't really expect the guy to be a mind reader.

Oh yeah, I know. I even told that to the guy at his office. I told him "fine, you made a decision based on what you knew, but I PAY to park there, and so I'm allowed to be there." He didn't budge, and he ended up flipping out on my roommate and I for no reason.

Well yeah, he's probly a douche anyway, but I think anyone who has the job of tow truck driver pretty much has to be after dealing with people who are usually in the wrong getting all angry at them. I think repo man is the only job worse than tow truck driver.
