what happened to the big nlhe games on ftp?
 

whatever, but i kind of miss watchin luigi, durrr, sbrugby etc. etc. playin 300/600 and 200/400. its been dead for weeks except for larslusak...........and i dont see anyone playin him.

i know its not the end of the big games but it sure feels like it.

where the hell is everyone?

I really don't know... it seems PLO is more fashionable at the moment, more of a gamblng game. But there were still lots of dedicated high stakes NLHE players and they also seem to have disappeared.

Presumably everyone is too robusto or busto to play any more, as Mr Voight says.

I agree with Luckyjimm, all the big guns are playing PLO right now....alot more action there, and its where you can make/lose money much faster.

The thing is though, a month or two ago both games ran frequently, with players like Krantz, Perky and many more who favoured NLHE. I'm mystified as to why the games have dried up, really.

Yeah, super-sick. Not long ago he lost £63k in a night. Now he's borrowing off friends. The state he's in at the moment, he just CAN'T win. Even if he turns £1k into £10k he'll play on till he loses it. His addiction to gambling, his sickness, has completely overwhelmed whatever skill he might have had at the game. There's no hope for him unless he stops completely, at least for a few months, and sorts his life out. He needs a job, certainly.

but the thing about PLO is true its running pretty often now compare to NLH.

Hi speed access as standard in hotel rooms/lobbies is not as common in Europe as it is in the US.

Actually developed European countries (Finland, Germany, Denmark, France etc.) have much more advanced communication technology then US. It is said that they are 3-4 years ahead.

I traveled to Germany and Netherlands last year and broadband internet was in every hotel.

Also, when dial up was still dominating US market in late 90s and early 2000s, Europe long ago switched to DSL and ISDN. Dial up there was unheard of at that time.

Just my 2 cents.

The technology is ahead, but from my perspective at least(i've installed a few wireless networks in hotels here), its not standard in european hotels to offer it to their guests. I've never been in a US hotel that didn't offer it, but plenty in europe that havent.
