this is an autofold for me and i am typically more aggressive. i just dont see anyone folding a ten here and many times you will end up getting 3 bet. in my opinion this is just a spew.

Re: semi-bluff/fsdr/value raise...?

interesting spot imo. I am going to do the math for this later and see how often villain has to fold a small pair for it to be +ev.

my first impression is that I don't like it because villain shouldn't be folding a pair here if you are known to make plays like this (AJ AQ JQ are a lot of hands) and it would really suck to get reraised after picking up the gutshot. it is very close as to whether we can call a 3bet

no way is this a fold

Against both a bluff and a monster raising is bad.

Against a fd that will fire river UI raising is bad

Against Tx and PP's raising is bad unless he folds which I find unlikely if he knows who you are and if this is mid stakes at Full tilt where no one ever folds anything.

Cliff-notes: I dont like it.

standard spot heisenb3rg discussed in his thread a few weeks ago, where that guy can 3-bet a ton here and crush you because you're probably going to raise everything on that turn.

maybe i am mistaking you for someone else but when i played on stars you would never fold this vs a tag.

He's pretty retarded if he does that on this board.

bad call on the flop!! I would fold for the check-raise 100%, I dont understand why you play it so hard? BB certanly have a hand here, and you have nothing on the flop, yet you call a check-raise, and you even re-raise the turn with nothing? I guess it is a question of read, maybe he is a player who bet with nothing, a total chump? but still, I would bet the flop when checked to me 100%, but if check-raised fold 100% you really cant continue with this hand, since trip fives is a reasonable treat, and you would be drawing compleatly dead, there will be better times to get your money in. if he is a thinking player, he will understand you have a big hand since you raised pre-flop, and when bet in to you?! he is probably not bluffing cus he knows your most likely hand is to be Ax, I would guess he have a ten with a somewhat kicker, AT KT QT? since he just call your turn raise, (nobody would just call with trip fives) he check raise you on the flop!, he can only do that with either five or a ten good kicker, raising a flushdraw is -EV in this spot so you can rule that out if he is a good player

deviouz, what games do you play? (let me guess full ring live?) You are way off on so many spots in your analysis

Erh no? He can have a lot of stuff from 5x, Tx, a fd, a PP, A high, K high and even air. Folding this flop will be terrible.

Leader steal raised from the button. His range is something like 50% of all possible hands and includes stuff like 96s, 87o, J8o and 63s. All hands that should fold at least on the turn. (Or make a play).

I am not saying its a good flop to make a bluff c/r on but you will see it happen a lot.

Folding is terrible.

No its not.

Re: semi-bluff/fsdr/value raise...?

nope, I play 5max and 6max mostly, my winrate is about 4bb hour, I dont think Im so far off, anyway I gave you my thought on this, and it is really how I would have played it, truly! hes range is not important here, you got to learn how to read the board, no matter what he's range is, you STILL have nothing, and to continue with the hand, you will just throw your money away, what I mean with the flushdraw is there is simply not enough players in to make this move +EV since you obviously isnt going to fold anyway

Re: semi-bluff/fsdr/value raise...?

leader,
the more nasty-agro this guy is the worse I like it. This is good against certain tags who for some reason think its a good idea to f around on paired baords like this with total air but dont like to spew the bb streets too hard. Rare combo but I know a few players at stars 5/10 - 15/30 like that.

Sometimes I wonder if there's another strat site where non-2p2 tags get together and collectively decide on crappy strategies. c/r'ing a lot of a-hi boards and donk/3-beting the flop with good draws/pairs also come to mind.

Whether you agree or not, respect around here is earned, not given. You certainly didn't help yourself on that front with this post. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we'd all be very interested to see the stats of a winning player over 800K. Feel free to start a thread and post the screenshots.

Re: semi-bluff/fsdr/value raise...?

Isn't it reasonably believable that you can make 4BB/hour if you're playing at least 400 hands per hour at low limits and being pretty nitty?
