Help me in my suicide pool!!!
 

I run a suicide pool every year (Year # 5..smallfriendly pool), and this year I am stumped for week # 1.

I am almost tempted to live or die with my Eagles.

I think the cowboys are good, and I figure if I pick them and lose, i deserve it.

Also thinking Seahawks...kinda thinking Garcia goes wild on them though.

Help!!

Washington is a good team that just got killed by injuries last year. IMO, 2nd best team in the NFC East behind Philly. Much better team, at home. Easy pick IMO.

is this by the spread or SU?

if SU then the obvious answer is jax....if by spread then i probably go with washington(who would be like my 4th choice if SU).

philly is an awful choice OP.

Picking divisonal games generally isn't a good idea. Seattle is a better pick than Jax in my opinion.

I agree with Billy Bibbit... there's two schools of thought on suicide pools. Just trying to survive, or trying to save the good teams for last. I'm a "just try to get to the next week" guy. Sucks when i get knocked out of my own pool in week # 1 and have to get other peoples' picks for the next three months! (Thank you Miami losing to Texans in there first ever game)

Thanks for all your help though. If I posted this on pocket fives I'm sure i would have gotten alot of BS.This site is much better.

Choose the team that is most likely to lose but comparatively few people are also on in the pool.

Normally I would try to stay away from taking NFC teams over AFC teams, but given there aren't many great games to choose from, this one is pretty safe.

use Chicago. I wouldn't use Chicago over many other teams given what I saw from Rexy today... although their defense is ridiculous.

I'm in the "save the good teams for last" camp.

Went with Houston in Week 1 and am on Jax in Week 2. My tentative early pick for Week 3 is Oakland vs. Cleveland.

For this week, if I was just picking whoever I thought was going to win and not worrying about the future weeks, I'd go with Chicago, Pitt, or Cincy.
