How many active 2ers play at The Pot in Milwaukee?

I only go once in a long while, as family is first. But curious as to how many of you I might go against in the 3-5 NL game they spread.

I play at the Pot. But I'm strictly a LHE guy, 3/6 thinking of moving to 4/8.

I play about once a week. Strictly 3/6, 4/8 limit. That's all the bankroll I have to play for now. If they ran 1/2NL that would be my game. 3/5NL is crazy there.

I haven't played the NL game in 6 months and have only played twice but it was very soft both times I played. Man if they'd get a 1/2 NL game I'd be there about every night I just don't have the roll right now for 2/5.

I play the 3/6 and 5/10 omaha hi-lo or 3/6 - 4/8 HE usually when I do go (maybe once or twice a month).

I played last night and the players were generally very bad. Many 5, 6, even 7 way pots limped around. Fairly aggressive after the flop though, but lots of bluffing. Just play tight and you'll do fine.

The most amazing part was that NOBODY at my table knew that AQ vs. QQ all-in preflop is 30/70. One regular was even willing to bet me $10 it wasn't. He even asked some other random guy he knew who said it was like 15%. I was laughing in my head.

I haven't been the Pot in about six months myself, but when I do go, I only play the NL table. My bankroll is not sufficient to play that crazy game, but I'll take shots every now and then.

There have been some bars in the Milwaukee area that have had decent 1/2 NL games, but i haven't gone to any lately. I have to start searching those out again.

I'm gonna be in the area on Sunday the 16th. Does the 30 game still go only on Tuesdays?

I go there occasionally. As has been said above, I don't necessarily have the roll to play there just because the game is usually so wild and very aggro. I think the 2/5 NL game plays more like a 5/10 game because so many people sit there all day and build up 2-5k chip stacks and want to play huge pots. I basically just play nit tight and wait for hands and it has been very profitable in the past. I just made a killing in Vegas and will probably start heading there more often now.

I'm another 3/6 limit guy who might try 1-2NL if they had it.

man, like a lot of you, I would be there almost every day if they had a 1/2 NL game.... it's not worth the drive in my opinion to go to the Majestic Star to play 1/2 NL. I hate to buy into the 2/5NL short-stacked. I only play that every now and then when I can afford to lose a full buy-in.

Does anyone think it's possible for Potty to get a 1/2NL game going with the current room setup they have now? I assume their concern would be profit potential and if it would negatively effect their lower limit games... If people repeatedly asked about a 1/2 game do you guys think they would eventually start spreading one?

I have heard in the past that they would not get a 1/2NL game going. As stated, I heard it would not be a profitable game for the Pot. I've never seen an interest list nor have i ever asked to start an interest list. Who knows, maybe they would start one if asked???

I play once in a great while...soon to be more...life got too complex and irritating to deal with IT AND poker's BS at the same time. Now that life is good again, poker's BS can be tolerated again.

Ok, so I just called the poker room and talked to the floor-person who said they will never have 1/2NL. I don't know how set in stone that is, but it sounds like they won't ever have it. This did not surprise me, but it does make me a little mad. Nothing to do about it though...

Maybe i'll have to plan a little road trip to Hochunk one of these days...
