Cheese challenge

I had a challenge come up the other day while watching the food network. They showed a 40 pound block of cheddar and someone said that it would be a good challenge to try and eat that block in one month.

So the challenge is; for $100,000 would or could you eat 40 pounds of cheddar in one month? How about 40 pounds of any combination of cheeses in one month?

Wow, I'd like to see this. Eating 1.3 pounds of cheese per day for a month is a lot different than sitting down and binging on sixty-four slices of American cheese one time.

i'd take the bet at 2 lbs/day without even thinking about it.

1.33 pounds of cheese per day.

2432 calories per day.

200 grams of fat. or, 300% of your recommended fat for the day.

128 grams of saturated fat, or 640% of your recommended saturday fat for a day.

GOOD LUCK.

if you ate 5 big macs a day, instead of this, you'd be eating

300 more calories
25% less fat
60% less saturated fat

Good luck going to the bathroom, I think this isn't doable for 90% of the population. I know I couldn't do it, and I love cheese.

This is random couch conversation among people who have no desire or ability to actually put up $100K.

BTW, I bet $100K I could beat my genetic clone in a bat vs. knife fight.

Before we go any further, I'd just like to point out how disturbing it is that you equate eating a block of cheese with some sort of bachelor paradise.

i am in the "virtually nobody could do this" camp. dairy is significantly harder to digest than most food.

i would say 99.5%+ of adult males could not do this challenge if there was a rule that any vomiting during the month results in an automatic forfeit.

You people in the "it's easy" camp are ridiculous. Go for it, be sure to take pictures. I weigh like 350lbs and I have a stomach of iron and I wouldn't touch this challenge.

Re: Cheese challenge

a pound of cheese is nothing. If I was trying I could crush this challenge.

Think about how little a pound of cheese you get from the deli is.

I could eat several pounds a day. Huge blocks of cheese are also delicious. I would just sit and munch on cheese all day.

you guys are crazy for saying it would be hard.

So you're putting up 100k right? I will do this at 1 to 1 during the month of October. Lets work out the logisitics during the next 3 weeks and its on.

This would be an awesome bet to watch take place. Obv it would have to be some amount of cheese that is more than what I usually eat for breakfast.

Re: Cheese challenge

i think its definitely doable for pretty much anyone, but you'd have the runs a lot, and by the end of a month, if you're not already obese with health problems, you're going to be. 5k is very cheap to be touching it if you're not already huge. i think you're underestimating the damage it will do to your body.

honestly, give me a blunt or nice bong pack every few hours and i could eat the necessary amount of cheese with crackers every day for a month straight, let alone the extra motivation of 100k. munchies ftw

Re: Cheese challenge

Lol @ kevin. It's not good for you so it's impossible, eh? Sure there's a [censored]-ton of fat in this, but some ungodly percent of americans eat much more than the recommended amount already. This would not be difficult eating nothing but ritz/cheese/water/metamucil daily. You may not be the happiest person in the world, but this is nowhere near as hard as some of you are making it out to be.

First of all, this isn't my challenge, and if I had $100,000 to blow, I could find better things to do with it than pay people to eat cheese. Anyway, I never said this couldn't be done, I said calling it easy was ridiculous and I stand by that.

Second of all, several people have said it would be easy. I catch your meaning about this challenge being "$100k easy," but I still think most people couldn't do it.
