if you are between the ages 18-25, do you want to join an awesome prop bet

we each put in like 1k, pool it together, put it in some index fund or something

last person to die gets all the money, itll be like ~200k by that time maybe even more

Actually, how about we just pool our money together and put it in an index fund? Like, no death. Then we, presumably living, would all make money.

Say you get 4 people to make the bet....the last one to die will probably be like 90 at least.
IMHO Its useless to have 200K at that age (unless you needed it for health reasons)

its called a Tontine, it was actually in the episode when the hellfish found the paintings at war. the one where Asa Phelps Died and burns tried to kill gpa the whole episode..

It was the one with Grandpa Simpson making this kind of deal in the war with Burns and Skinner and some other guys. I can't for the life of me recall the name of this deal...I think the group were called Hellfish...I now see that the episode is called Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish", and it is really funny! Tontine, there I found it! It is called a tontine [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]!
