I actually think a call is more profitable because if he does infact have some weak pair or 56 you can bluff the river

Re: 200.6 They be donking the turn

i dunno, i dont think calling is the best play. if we think villain's range is mostly small pairs and straight draws we shold push now because he folds all those, and the times he does call with his set or TT or whatever we have at least 7 outs, often 9, and up to 12 outs.

but i my experience solid villains usually have a monster when they take this line, and i think folding > shoving > calling.
not too sure whats best between pushing and folding though... curious to see what other people's read on this situation is.

im not saying pushing is good. im just saying pushing is proabbly better than calling.

Wtf I played a hand today where I have 44 on EXACTLY the same board from the BB vs a preflop raise, this is scary.

I don't like raising here. I'd prefer a call, his turn donk seems like strength to me.

I call here and evaluate the river. implied odds when you hit the clubs?

thats the thing... do we really have implied odds that great? and are we bluffing every blank river thats checked to us?

on another note,
i thought the point of this thread was thaat OP wanted to know if we can profitably shove ANY 2 cards here? did i misread?

I always knew I took villains line with sets for a reason.

exactly my point. like i said earlier i think this is almost always a monster from villain

if villain has a monster, how are the implied odds not good???

you have 7 clean outs. and you have to call $35 with villain having 150 left. not sure how the math works out but doesnt seem so hot, especially if hero is stacking off on paired clubs, or losing another bet when an A hits.
