Bet $60, see what happens. Checking is out of the question.

I'd bet way more on flop, but w/e.

Bet $65 on turn.

K, I was 99% sure checking sucked.

Hero bets $50, Villain raises to $114, Hero shoves or calls?

I would c/c turn and bet/fold riv if another heart doesn't come.

Re: Set, interesting turn

call turn and see a river card. But oop i would play c / c or c / f there.

Re: Set, interesting turn

I'd just bomb it.

Def bet more on flop+ turn though.

Re: Set, interesting turn

since youre oop, shoving might be best here. you still beat plenty of hands, and this could just be a float from villain looking to take the pot away on scary turns. looks like a shove.

Re: Set, interesting turn

Bet/call and c/c a shove. Bet/3betting doesn't look that sexy on the turn.

Aislephive and Fonkey,
Are you guys betting ~90% pot on the turn with a wide range of holdings, or just sets, flush, air?

Probably not air against prescribed villain, but pretty much everything I'm betting on the turn is going to be around this size. I would definitely semibluff any overcard + flush draw combination though, and I'm also betting a set/flush and a Q this way as well.

I think I'd just call his turn raise, then bet/fold the river on a blank, and bet/call obviously if I fill up.

Okay, I'm pretty much going to spell this hand out here.

Set+Donk= $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

aislephive 09-03-2007 04:51 AM

Re: Set, interesting turn

Given his small raise size he is either doing it with a flush, a crappy top pair (info raise obv) that folds to a shove, or occasionally we luck out and he turned two pair or something which he won't fold. Generally it's one of the first two scenarios, and shoving is the worst against those holdings.

Call turn and play pokar on riv yo. His hand looks a ton like a flush.
