Was he gay? [/ QUOTE ] Unknown. He had many effeminate mannerisms, but there is no proven record of him engaging in homosexual activities. In a book I have entitled 'Hitler and the Power of Aesthetics' there are many pictures of him in an art gallery giving the "limp wrist" mannerism. There is some speculation that he may have been a male prostiture when he was living as a destitute in Munich during his early 20's before the outbreak of World War 1. He did have an obssession with his niece Geli Raubal (from a half sister) and she ended up commiting suicide over an undisclosed argument. His later mistress Eva Braun used to share a room adjacent to his and no one really knows what occured in there. Some of Hitler's secretaries were later questioned about his sexual habits and they said whenever they changed the sheets they never found any fluids. It is speculated that Hitler's sexual desires were abnormal and there are some reports from CIA interiviews of German actresses regarding Hitler's private sexual demands when they were summoned to him. This might be propoganda, but the CIA was trying to put together a reliable psychologcial file on the man. Apparently he enjoyed gazing at a woman's vagina from up close as she stood over him. Whereupon he would masturbate as he proclaimed his unworthiness, but he never made any phyical contact. It is presumed that Hitler was incapable of enduring human physical contact. I swear I am not making this up, but these are merely allegations from the CIA which may be falsified for political reasons. No one can really say for sure what his sexual appetites were. |

Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.

why do you know so much about him? [/ QUOTE ] As a child I noticed that his name seemed to be synonomous with 'evil.' It is the only name you can drop in a room full of people and cause everyone to fall silent and stare at you. No other name, not Ghengis Khan, Jesus, Einstein, Stalin, or Napoleon has this effect. I figured if I could understand this Hitler fella then I could understand anyone and have a better grasp of the human condition as a whole. I am not a racist or a National Socialist, my interest is merely in Hitler as a persona. As the American Author Don Dellio one said "Some people are larger than life. Adolf Hitler was larger than death." That pretty much sums up my feelings. I have read and reread multiple biographies and have countless hours of history channel viewing as credentials. The best book I have read on Hitler is "The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler" by Robert Payne. I have read this biography 3 times." |

I'm sure i could change lots of people sheets and not find fluids. It just means the bitches swallowed for the fatherland. |

Is "The Boys from Brazil" based on real events?

From what you wrrote I understand why you became interested in him. From your research are your feelings about him admiration, apathy or disgust? In your opinion is it possible he was "just a little misunderstood"?

How good of a painter was he? Do you know his dog's name? I heard he loved dogs. How much hot Aryan poon did he pull in? besides Eva Braun [/ QUOTE ] For years before World War 1 Hitler was living in a men's hostel. It was like a large gymnasium and everyone had their own cubicle with a cot. Very cheap rent as you can imagine, about one step up from living on the streets. During this time his only source of income was painting postcards of landscapes around Vienna. He would usually sell these to art dealers and they would be used to fill picture frames. They usually purchased these out of pity. He listed his profession as 'Architectural painter.' If you want to judge the quality of his work you can do so here. http://www.oskarschindler.com/Albums6/album.htm He had two female dogs both named 'Blondi.' Eva Braun his was only mistress. He preferred to present himself as a dedicated statesman who went without women as he was only married to Germany and to the service of her people. |

"Hitler, Master of Death - An Average Painter"
that strikes me as hilarious for some reason |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
[ QUOTE ]
Did Hitler ruin what was once called a Charlie Chaplin mustache when people began associating it with his name instead? Did he ruin the name Adolf? Hitler? [/ QUOTE ] The reason why Hitler wore his mustache that way was because no one in Germany wore it that way at the time. He did this to advertise his uniqueness I suppose. But a lot of men in Britan wore the mustache that way and Hitler had always respected the British. And yes, he ruined the mustache and the name at least for the next few centuries. |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.

Did Hitler ruin what was once called a Charlie Chaplin mustache [/ QUOTE ] The Germans took a word that had been in their language for centuries and completely deleted it from usage. I'm pretty sure the facial hair and name aspects were also goners at that point. |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
[ QUOTE ]
Wasn't one of his recent ancestors Jewish? Was he always aware of it? [/ QUOTE ] His Grandfather on his father's side was Jewish. So that means Hitler was a 1/4 Jewish. It was not uncommon for many Nazi Higher up's to have a bit of Jewish blood. In fact Hitler might have preferred it as it meant they weren't perfect and more easily malleable to his will, due to perhaps an unconscious guilt. Records of this were no doubt suppressed when Hitler annexed his home country of Austria. |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
Huh. His paintings were actually kind of better than I expected.

Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.

Is it true that he was a vegetarian? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. He would only eat meat in sausage form and very rarely at that. He would often mock the meat eaters at his table calling them "corpse eaters" and other such names. |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
yeah, i'm no art critic, but they're better than anything I could draw. They kind of look like the paintings at the family restaurants that you can buy for $60 if you want.

The shy, awkward man trying to take over the continent, and the prissy vegetarian sending millions to their death. It's hard to find a real insightful look into the man, however, as his deeds have made real introspection into his character almost taboo, IMO. |

From what you wrrote I understand why you became interested in him. From your research are your feelings about him admiration, apathy or disgust? In your opinion is it possible he was "just a little misunderstood"? [/ QUOTE ] I have to admit that I respect him. I wouldn't say admire, but that is different from respect. The story of his life is quite literally the most amazing story imaginable. Here is a guy who was literally once the crazy ranting homless guy from the street. Completely busto and on the verge of suicide. And he rose from that and nearly conquered the whole of Europe. Anyone who doesn't respect that is merely doing so for emotive reasons, like not wanting to seem insensitive to the human suffering he caused. But you can hate someone and still respect him. But I do not hate him. I don't hate anyone. The reason I endeavored to understand him in the first place was so that I would be able to understand anyone. When you understand someone it is hard to hate them. |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
Why did Hitler choose to open a second front ultimately leading to the downfall of the Third Reich?
What did Hitler think of Americans? What did Hitler think of Mussolini? Did Hitler like beer? |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
Is it really true that his remaing relatives have a pact to never reproduce?

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah it's taboo to look at him with real introspection and an attempt to understand him. But seeing him as some kind of Monster or Force of Nature is what allows people like him to assumes such indisputable power in the first place. He was just a human being. A highly ambitious one, but still human. A very good movie that present Hitler as how he most likely was in his early years is a film called Max. It's about Hitler's dealings with a Jewish art dealer immediately after World War 1. The art dealer is fictional and Hitler had mostly abandoned art at this point, but the movie presents Hitler's persona as he was before World War 1 quite accurately and that is what matters. John Cusack plays the Jewish Art Dealer and Noah Taylor gives an amazing performance as Hitler. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808404422/info |
Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.
In your opinion, could hitler's ethnic cleansing of germany be viewed as anything but a deranged madman's launch of evil? If so please explain.

Is it really true that his remaing relatives have a pact to never reproduce? [/ QUOTE ] All but one, but he is like in his fifites and has no children so far. I believe they are his grand nephews from his half brother Alois. So they don't have much direct Hitler blood. I believe they live in Long Island. I read a wikipedia article about them a few weeks ago. |

[ QUOTE ] just guessing but... führer? [/ QUOTE ] Yup. [/ QUOTE ] The word Führer still exists in the German language, but is usually not used alone but with a prefix (as in Anführer or Tabellenführer). |

Re: Ask me about Adolf Hitler.

In your opinion, could hitler's ethnic cleansing of germany be viewed as anything but a deranged madman's launch of evil? If so please explain. [/ QUOTE ] Hitler didn't invent Anti-Semitism in Germany. It was already a part of the popular culture and since his job was that of a demagogue he simply told the people what they wanted to hear. And they wanted someone to blame. It is similar to the illegal Mexicans living in America and some hicks yelling "they took our jobs!" Only in Germany in the post World War this magnified like a hundred fold. And as far as the concentration camps if Hitler had emplyed all the SS labor needed to run the camps and moves the Jews around be might have had enough reinforcments to win at Stalingrad. So his extermination policy was degenerative to his overall policy in terms of winning the war. |
