Only deepstacks I have ever played, will never play one again. It took 11 hours.

I've won plenty of SNGs, the first was probably a $5 one or something, but no MTTs. I've probably only played a half a dozen MTTs ever, most of them freerolls from site promotions.

First one I ever won was at the Turning Stone in New York right after I turned 18 years old three years ago. $100 buy-in, $3200 to me. Everyone kept trying to chop with me but I was being a dick and thought, that at 18, I could outplay all these guys who had been playing their whole lives.

Turns out I was right. Bankroll hasn't looked back since.



EDIT: This was also the first one I had ever played in.

I actually just recently won my first tournament after getting maybe 4 cashes before of a 2nd, two 4ths, and a fifth. I won a $77 6max ~275 people tourney where first paid $4675 on Pokaaastars. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

when interpoker used to run the $3000 freerolls I got 1st for ~600.. and it's STILL my biggest win after dropping $10-$26 buyins over, and over again . i sucks at end game

2 weeks after turning 18 I had been playing online for a while/ watching reading about poker. I played my first live tournament it was a freeroll. I won beat out 150 or so people. I got free beer and was extremely happy

11$ deepstacks for like 2300~..took me nearly 14 hours to take it down...which is pretty sweet since i've always played micro donkaments at the 1-5$ level. i also have a 12th place finish in the same tournament which took like 10 hours..i knew i could win it, so i tried again a few months later and took it down. i'm never playing a deepstacks again.

I'll tell you what was fun though, i took a break from donkaments for a week after that win, and the next week i played the 11$ turbo mtt on stars which starts around the time the deepstacks usually starts..i'll tell you, 13-14 hours of deepstacks play, then playing a turbo mtt, it feels like you blink and you're already at 300/600

First one I won was the first one I ever played, a $3+0 plo/8 on UB for like a $60 score. Must have been over four years ago.

First one was right around three years ago on Tribeca. They had $2 giveaway mtts and I won one the second or third night I played. Ship the 54 cents.
At that time I was like "they have poker on the interwebs? no way."
I think the first one I paid to enter that I won was a couple weeks later. A $2 mtt for $60 or so. Bankroll at the time was a solid $17 built off that freeroll win.

First time that I went to Vegas four months after turning 21, I brought $600 and thought that would last me five days. Played maybe two hours a night, still lost all but $100 by my last day.

So I entered a daily donkament at the MGM Grand for $85 (leaving me $15 for a cab to the airport and souveniers... like matchbooks or napkins). I thought I missed my chance when they told me I was alternate #23, because I thought that meant I'd have to be lucky enough for 23 people to somehow forget that they registered. I quickly discovered this wasn't the case when the 23rd person was knocked out.

Get KK third hand to double up and catch up to the others, got lucky a sufficient amount of times (1010>AA, then AQ>AK on final table), made best call of my life with K4off when heads up, ship $2400.

Additional Brag: When I was walking away two girls stopped me and said "We were rooting for you." Beat: I said "Thanks" and kept walking. [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] Variance: I like girls.

It was a 1$ buy-in donkament on everest with 54 players. I flopped a set of 6's on the final hand while holding 2 red 6's... lol.

I won 34.75$ and I was a nl2 cheeseburger cash game player at that time so it was nice.

with in the first week i got my first final table of $450 for 4th, then my first win in a $5.5 1400 person tournie for $1400, then in the next couple of days won a $11 450 man tournie for $1200...

was a pretty sick little run, and havent really been playing may donkaments since, but shoul get back into it for sure!!!

"Sun" was my first donkament win too, Sept 30th 04 for 1305$. I miss paradise.

I played on a prima skin which had a weekly leaderboard. Top 100 on the leaderboard made it to a weekly $1k freeroll. At the time I was 1 tabling $0.05/0.10 NL so I have no idea how I managed to even make the freeroll. I took it down for $400 making my bankroll like $450.

Best day of my life.

first one was my first ever live tourney. 25$ buyin 50 person field and i only won 295$ because the rake was huge for charity or some [censored]

first online tourney i won was a 20$ turbo on FTP 180 entrants won like $900
