OT, Going to Iraq
 

Title says it all. Anyway, I think I told pretty much everyone while I was in Vegas anyway. I should only be there seven to nine months at the most. I'll be training Iraqis on the joys of inspecting vehicles as they come across the border into Iraq, think of US Border and Customs. For those that didnt know, I am in the Marine Corps, and in a weird and twisted way, looking forward to getting over there. I have been to Kuwait before, but never Iraq. All I know, is that its HOTTER than Vegas was this summer, though it will start to cool off around October. I will try to post updates when I can since I will still have internet access over there, even though I will literally be in the middle of nowhere.

I just want to say one last thing, MTTC is by far some of the coolest group of guys that I have had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with.

Also, if you guys have questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer the best I can or am allowed to.

LOL. I feel the same way bro. BTW, I am taking my XBox 360 with me, so yeah we can play video games and stuff like that over there. There will be a lot of downtime with nothing to do but watch movies, workout, and play 360.

And for those that didnt know, I am planning on leaving the Marine Corps after this tour. Not sure how long afterwards though.

My friend is in Iraq right now and Guitar Hero has swept over their entire barracks. I can basically never get a hold of him for more then 10 mins anymore without him leaving for a battle in Guitar Hero

My boy in Iraq didn't sound like he had too many video games.

But he did get a liver infection.

How did you like Kuwait? I was there for a month or so earlier in the summer.. rich country but not much to do/too hot.. Coming from Canada the heat was just too much at times, even going from the house to the car works up a sweat..I was staying in "Salwa" I believe, basically just hit up the Marina mall/b-ball courts most of the days or stayed indoors/went out to eat.. Don't think I could live there but it wasn't awful.
