WSOP on ESPN thread (8/21 - Main Event Days 1a+1b)
 

Tonight at 8pm ET, ESPN breaks away from its non-stop Michael Vick coverage to air the start of the 10K Main Event, surely to cover the first two day 1's. Coverage will mostly consist of name players at the TV tables; as well as any antics of people desperate enough to get their 15 seconds of TV time and will make a fool of themselves.

but seriously, the look on that guys face when he flopped the full house vs. Doyle gave his entire hand away. Unless they did a great job of editing it from another hand, anyone watching this could have seen that he hit it hard.

Obviously I can't have the HH in front of me, and who knows what the pot was, but what can Chan possibly beat on the river for what has to be either 82 or 41 BB's on Day 1?

God only knows why the 86o vs A8hh hand is being shown other than to illustrate that we still have an ME with people who can't raise correctly.

If you are generous enough to include the Ray Romano turn bet and river shove hand with 76, and the Brad Garrett 8c7c, ESPN has now shown seven hands in 25 minutes. They may get to 15 this episode, which is like running 3:30 for the mile.
