HBE\'s situational puzzle

maybe its been done before

if it has, and you saw it or heard it, dont answer

A man wakes up, makes a cup of coffee, and picks up the newspaper. The top story: A woman was murdered, police are looking for leads. The man immediately picks up the phone, calls the police, and tells them to arrest her husband.

How did he know the husband did it?

Re: HBE\'s situational puzzle

was the man within 100 yards of the murder when it occurred?
if no, was the man within 1 KM of the murder when it occurred?

did the article contain a description of how the murder was committed?
if yes, if the article did not contain this description, would the man have still called?

Re: HBE\'s situational puzzle

Oh, this is the ask questions type game. Did the man know the woman who died? Did he know her husband?

No, I bludgeoned him ... that typically means a club or some blunt object was used.
