Tonight is the final original broadcast of WPT programming on the Travel Channel, Poker by the Book 2 which features 6 poker players/authors playing for a $25k seat for the season 6 WPT Championship. The six at the final table consisted of:

Seat 1 - Johnny Chan
Seat 2 - Daniel Negreanu
Seat 3 - Dan Harrington
Seat 4 - Barry Greenstein
Seat 5 - Antonio Esfandiari
Seat 6 - Tom McEvoy

The WPT always removes logos from hats, this time the tape isn't done as bad.

Yeah, usually they tape over just the logo, this time it's over the entire front of the hat

The WPT doesn't allow any logos, even their own, on hats. The only person to actually have their logo appear was Phil Hellmuth in Foxwoods, season 2, he had a Polo logo on his hat that for whatever reason wasn't covered.

They tried to make it look like VVP responded in real-time but...lol.

EDIT: And what about the T3s squeeze Daniel put on Harrington and McEvoy? I thought for sure he'd show. I didn't catch all the table banter just afterwards but I think BarryG may have called Daniel out the squeeze.

The Sports teams don't sponsor the WPT. Allowing players to wear their clothes would be like stealing from the company.

1. Was Daniel Negreanu on crack during this tourney? WTF?
2. Why is Esfandiari doing push-ups (Laak's thing) and the wave (a douchey thing)?
3. Does it seem like Chan and Greenstein hate each other? (No goodbye handshake, they never responded to each other and always just made separate statements, also Chan said Barry's poker book was just Barry talking about himself, not poker.)
4. Sick beat of Esfandiari AA by Greenstein AJc. Isnt the rapid splashing insta-call all-in that Esfandiari did a Hellmuth move? (Does Esfandiari have any original moves?)
5. McEvoy made a brave effort against a stronger player, I think.
6. Greenstein is the best player, but is charmless.

McEvoy's creepy beard + weird dragon collection = potential molester.

McEvoy with a beard looks like a completely different man. The beardless McEvoy looks like the embodiment of the miserable grinding nit who hates life. The bearded McEvoy looks semi-respectable, although he still looks like an alcoholic. Too bad he still sucks at poker, though.

Might have to give McEvoy a vote for biggest fraud of a world champ. All the other champs who sucked probably got better eventually. Seems like he still sucks really, really bad [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Also, some of the worst poker books I have ever read.
