so it has been an hour and im only at 350 hands, im not gonna make 1k today. i really need to brush up my 8 table skills so i can squash some hands cause 4 just aint cuttin it anymore. ship +2 BI though. i [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5NL fishies.

uNL lesson for the day, pot control and TPTK hands.

the hands from the beginning of the graph to the arrow are me not exercizing proper pot control and overplaying TPTK hands. the hands after the arrow show the exact opposite, good pot control in the appropriate places and folding TPTK if needed.

No real secret, was going to start as a gimmick account...and then decided since I was getting back into the game that I wanted to unlearn some bad habits. For whatever reason it's worked so far!!

Anyone else having trouble getting used to adjusting preflop raise sizes after reading PNL1? It's driving me nuts. Has kept me from playing SCs on the button when a shortie raises though.

bigger beat: misplayed a hand, thinking there were 2 players only in pot, c-bet for near half my stack, had to fold...

na not 50, my roll isnt really replaceable. could have done 50NL / taking shots at 100NL had i won though...1100 diff from 6th and 1st, and at least 2 players there were horrible, one was obv monster CL

but yea i thought my winrate was kinda small...guess not

Why does any limit above 10NL f'in hate me? How come at 10NL, when someone 3-bets my raise from the button 3 times in a row and I shove over with my suited ace to make a stand, they have crap. 25 and 50NL, they have AK or a big pair. 10NL, the guy with a flop aggression of 7 doesn't have the nuts when I check-raise my overpair. 25NL, Even though I make my set on the turn, he had
the straight on the flop. Jesus Christ this sucks.

EDITED FOR MORE WHINING: If I hadn't beaten it before for 6PTBB/100, I would swear it's impossible. Since my collapse over a month ago that left me back at 10NL, 25NL has been an impenetrable, bankroll draining barrier to me everytime I take a shot at it.

Stop 3-betting and 4-betting light, it's definitely not profitable (read: necessary) at these levels. Just play solid poker and v-bet. Don't try to get in level wars with them.

Even if you were waiting for 30 buy-ins for 10NL, you have enough to move up.

in addition to the BR, i believe that my game will be exploitable at 25NL without some almost serious changes. it is not so much at this limit so im not in a hurry.
