Is your vagina a graveyard for animals?

Full story: Is sperm immoral?

Excerpts:

"A new phenomenon in New Zealand is taking the idea of you are what you eat to the extreme.

Vegansexuals are people who do not eat any meat or animal products, and who choose not to be sexually intimate with non-vegan partners whose bodies, they say, are made up of dead animals. "

. . .

"One vegan respondent from Christchurch said: "I believe we are what we consume, so I really struggle with bodily fluids, especially sexually."

. . .

"When you are vegan or vegetarian, you are very aware that when people eat a meaty diet, they are kind of a graveyard for animals," she said."

So, if you were or are a vegan, how would you feel about this? Do you feel that gobbling a non-vegan's sperm, slurping clitorade, or trading spit while kissing would be morally radioactive?

How would you get along with a partner if you both started out non-vegans, but then you turned vegan -- would you expect them to do the same? Would you possibly withhold sex as a bribe?

Actually this makes a lot of sense. It's like being with a smoker when you don't smoke, or a drunk when you don't drink.

i believe these people like to focus on the physical body so much because they lack an intelligent mind.

also, not even the finest cut of kobe beef prepared by the world's greatest chef would be enough incentive to have this for dessert:

If anything it's entirely close minded. It's like not wanting to go in a relationship with someone that supports the rival of your favourite sports team.

Re: Is your vagina a graveyard for animals?

I don't think they are basing this preference on the belief that their dna changes based on diet. If you believed that meat was a disgusting thing to eat, and felt that your partner's breath smelled like meat, their sweat tasted like meat, their body emanated death, you wouldn't want to sleep with the person either.

Easier to just mock though, I guess.

amplify,

i would like to see quantifiable proof that such things can be easily distinguished. of course your diet controls the taste/scent of bodily fluids and whatnot, but i doubt it is anything that a glass of pineapple juice can't easily mask.

seems more like it is just something vegans like to tell themselves to make themself feel 'more enlightened' than others, which no one really cares about.

also, i have never met a vegan i would care enough to try to sleep with. and they are more likely to have poor hygiene.

Re: Is your vagina a graveyard for animals?

snaggle,

Yeah, I hate that self-righteous vegetarian attitude as well. I merely felt sympathetic to somebody if they felt disturbed by their partners meat consumption. I have no idea if you can actually smell meat on someone.

Let's say that someone doesn't eat meat because they are trying to cause less suffering in the world, or because they feel that industrial slaughterhouses, chicken farms, etc are cruelty to animals. The mere idea that their partner participates in this commerce could be revolting to someone, almost as if they were a pro-choice person married to an abortion doctor.

The actual people involved here are pretty likely to be ass holes, but I'm still sympathetic.

Re: Is your vagina a graveyard for animals?

I think it can be either healthy or unhealthy, but I have seen plenty of vegetarians eating what I would consider extremely unbalanced meals -- as in, I love squash, so I'll just have squash for dinner, or something. No real attempt to get proteins in there, a variety of vitamins, etc. Meat-eater might be more likely to have balanced meals, if only by accident, if you take people's tendencies to be dumb and lazy into account.

Re: Is your vagina a graveyard for animals?

this whole thing is a bunch of crap.

when you eat meat it is broken down into the exact same basic stuff as if you eat plants. it all is broken down and absorbed by your body, changed into the exact same stuff, and used in the exact same way. Unless you're worried about meat breath its not like your skin is going to be partially composed of meat if you eat meat or partially composed of plants if you eat plants.

Isn't it a lot easier to get protein (especially complete proteins) from meat than plant matter? I mean, I'm sure a vegetarian diet would be healthier than what I'm doing now, but there are downsides.

The argument that veggie-morons like to use is how healthy it is

I counter with: well its not

them: well its healthier than what your average american eats

me: well, ya, but so is eating glass for dinner in most cases.

a health diet with meat >>>>>>> vegetarians >>>> vegans > general US population

vegan diets are usually pretty unhealthy, and yes, meat has complete protiens plants do not, you have to eat a certain combo of plants to get a complete protien in most cases.

I'm not sure why the fact that some vegans only want to date other vegans is considered newsworthy. Seems to be common sense, really. If I was a vegan, I'd probably be looking for other vegans to date.

These people calling themselves "Vegansexuals" is just pathetic, though. They're just vegan attention whores.
