JJ river decision ($100r)

I have had a big stack since the rebuy period, I have been pretty tight until this orbit where this was the 3rd hand I have raised pf.
How is my turn check?
Call or fold river?

I'm not sure about the turn check, but I think you have to call river given you did.

i think turn check is fine, but bet/calling is fine as well. in fact bet/calling is probably better if you bet smallish to try to get a shove from a draw (2400?).

river seems like an easy call, there are plenty of Tx dd he can have here, not to mention a lot of people (im assuming this is an unknown because you didnt mention anything) will bet here with one low pair because they put you on AK. which obviously doesn't make sense, but happens nonetheless.

i definitely call river after checking turn

but i frequently just bet/call river and let them find a way to stack off with garbage

meh, I don't think you're good here nearly as often as others seem to imply but against an unknown I'm calling because sometimes they have something weird (edit: because everyone sucks at basic river concepts).

what kinda hands are you looking to get it in against on the turn here other than draws?

i think most times someone check/shoves the turn they'll have like air or a draw, but sometimes they might check/call with a worse hand, setting up a bigger river bet for you (maybe a shove? i got kinda high and dont feel like looking back at the numbers). but thats what i was thinking at the time. i do understand what youre saying though, and maybe checking the turn is better.

Normally I'd think that you called, he showed you 44 and now you're blaming yourself for making a bad call :P (

but seriously, after your turn check I dont see how you could ever fold here without a very specific read (including "opponent likes to make bluff sized value bets on the end")

wow, folding this river would be so incredibly terrible that you ought to never play anything but donkaments for the rest of your life if you do

I meant to ask, what kinda hands do we beat that he c/rs the turn with.

I think its very few because he isnt calling my utg raise with a very wide range and he shouldnt be thinking that I will 2 barrel very often if i dont have an overpair here.
