Definitely will be real. people bug him for money on rail all the time. dont think he would orchestrate a fake donation which would only spur on hundreds more leeches.

I might actually sign-up on FTP and do one of those Chris Ferguson challenges, see if I can go from $0-$20,000 from getting transfers off pros.

that's pretty unbelievable. i never get those beggars but i guess bold and aggressive moves do pay off! can't see that gesture doing any good tho, now there will be hordes of beggars to come

I was in a real good mood one time and gave $5 to 2 beggars. Let me tell, the floodgates then opened. It seems that all the beggars know each other and info like that gets passed around. I was bombarded with requests for about the next 10 days.

You're probably right. Mike really is a good guy and he might do something like this, especially if he was running good.
