Following discussion in the low content thread and the apparent success of the HSNL HU tourney, I think there might be enough interest to get one of these going in PLO.

HU freezeouts or best-of-3, blinds not to increase, in each round. Someone reputable to organise, bitch at Stars, draw, and escrow money. Do we have, say, 16 players at $2k each? Other suggestions welcome.

since its PLO this should be more like 200bb deep best of 5/7 or something. will still be much faster.

yeah I'm open for any suggestions, whatever 8 or 16 people will agree to play.

How long do the NL matches take? Hours?

Pretty sure I would participate. Don´t know how that escrow works, guess I should google. Or can I just transfer on Stars, party or ongame to some mod or poster I decide to trust?

So was stars the choice for the HU NL tourney because they are the only ones that offer the private tables? I have no money on stars and can't swap on FT because my account hasn't been active for 90 days (used to play on bodog and stars primarily til a little while ago). If FT has the means to set this up I'd prefer it be there.

i think it should be 300bb best of 5, play 3 matches @ once... 2k-5k range. Im in regardless of structure basically... but i think that'd be best

I wrote stars and asked them about setting this up. Was thinking of doing it similiar to how Gild did the NLHE HSNL tourney. What about letting the NLHE tourney complete before starting the PLO one up, is that ok? Sooner?

Also, any players participating in the NLHE HU tourney, any suggestions would be great. Just need to agree on a structure for the matches. Basically how many BB to start the match with. Buy-in, amount of matches per round and who will hold escrow can all be determined at later dates.

I think its going to be between starting with 200bb or 300bb and having a best of 5 match per round. Maybe best of 7 for the final??? No escalating blinds obv. Hows this sound? Any other suggestions are more than welcome.

i'm in on the condition that i wont have to play 3 tables at once.

i know i'm pathetic but i dont see why we couldn't let people that are matched up vs each other decide how many tables they will play at once.

# of tables to be played at a time should be left up to the two playing the match. If its a best of 5 300bb match though, each round would take ALOT of play imo.

aggressive HU PLO eats stacks like something that eats stacks really quickly, and i'm assuming most of these matches would be pretty aggressive... not sure how long the NL matches are taking, but I think 2 hours for a set of 5 isn't that bad.

We're over 16 players interested for this tournament. If its going to be a standard bracket style tourny, then we need to cut down to 16 players or try to get 32 signed up. Waiting on email back from stars about setting up the private HU PLO matches. Thoughts on structure have been between 200bb and 300bb starting stacks. I think a best of 5 matches per round sounds right with no escalating blinds obv. We can put it to a vote (some already have) or even compramizing at 250bb starting stacks would work. Thoughts? How long are the HU NLHE matches taking? 16/32 entrants? Ideas on something between 16 and 32? Also anyone willing to hold escrow? Planned on PMing some regs but if you'd be willing I guess you could volunteer to get the ball rolling. Thanks.

we can get 32 no problem... possibly more, i feel like if theres only say 24 interested we should up it to a 4/5k buyin, and let people who want in for 2k play a hu 'satellite' to see who plays in it.

scooot I don't know how much you play on Stars but if you get some high volume/high stakes Stars player to email them maybe they will actually read the email. Or find out the name of whoever Gildwulf was in touch with.

95% of my play is on stars. I've sent 5+ emails to stars trying to get it worked out. The HU matches being used now for the NLHE HU matches was created because stars offers a lot of different NLHE structures because of its popularity. Thats not the case with PLO, simply, they do not offer the variety of PLO matches as they do NLHE.

If you guys could agree on a structure, Stars has agreed to get me in contact with their tournament management about creating some special matches for this. I can't ask until their is an agreed structure, mainly, what should the starting stacks be.
