Full Tiltaments (part deux)

I recently (over a month ago?) had my account locked at FTP due to "suspicious activity" from bankrolling UK players for various gambling activities and made a large post in this forum about it. After limitninja and others basically trainwrecked the thread and took it on a ridiculous tangent, I had Mike Haven lock the thread. Search for it if you like.

Anyway, after bugging FTPDoug and the support group with emails (most of which went unanswered), I finally get word back from Doug today:

[ QUOTE ]
Hey Kyle,

Sorry for the continued delay. Runner-runner site crashes is always a mess.

We sent final word to CS to re-open and release funds for yours and any
account that was suspended due to the case. While the activity was
unusual (and expensive) from our point of view, we have concluded that
nothing was done to defraud FTP or it's players. We also don't feel it's
right to pass the costs on of the payment processing fees, since we did
facilitate the transfers.

Support should follow up with more details, I just thought you would like
to know as soon as possible.

Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you see the issues we
were dealing with. If I can help with anything in the future, feel free
to e-mail me.

Sincerely,

Doug

[/ QUOTE ]

For the record, I did offer to pay the transfer fees if they felt that I wasn't giving them enough playthrough to generate MGR for them.

So, it looks like this might be solved once and for all. Neither I nor my acquaintances have heard from FTP support yet, but I just got the email from Doug, so hopefully it'll be all straightened out by tomorrow.

Very glad it has worked out for you in the end. I think FTP Doug usually does more than we give him credit for, but on the other hand it is kind of ridiculous that it took this long.

Its really great that they have a presence here on the forum, but FT really needs a massive support overhaul. Right now they would have zero players if not for their RB and better software than Stars(IMO)

Good. So will you do transfers ever again?

Re: Full Tiltaments (part deux)

iv followed a lot of these posts. Some end up blowing up in FTPS face, some end up good like this. I think there support overall ended with more good results than bad... especially with credible players, and when we blow a thread up enough to anger the 2p2 community..

on a side not, glad to see kyles avatar is happy again. =\

Again we come to the same old conclusion, we need faster support on your end... i think this would bring in more fish aswell.. good player put up with it for the RB. avg clowns wont

Yeah, still locked here. This is really ridiculous. At least they're doing a good job about communicating with all parties involved, though...

Oh, wait.

Meh, FTP has been shady in the past, but this takes it to a whole new level. Doug said that my account and the other accounts would be unlocked by the support division, and Kevin said that they wouldn't be.

This is actually ridiculous.

Re: Full Tiltaments (part trois)

It's bad either way.

One way is that Doug was misinformed and it really hasn't been decided yet.

The other way is that Doug is correct that your account will be opened again shortly but they are still not doing that yet.
If it's gotten to the point where they can see that his account is fine and will be re-opened then WHY ISN'T THAT DONE IMMEDIATELY?!?!

And why is it only Doug that is somehow able to take the time to figure out what's actually happening and offer ANY kind of relevant communication to the customer?

Would Stars tell you something like this and then STILL keep your account frozen for another week or more?
It's really ridiculous and FT looks absolutely terrible for taking so long on this.
It appears everyone's account remained frozen due to one or two individuals not faxing in their identification stuff. That's pretty bad.

So, should I not deposit $20,000 into FTP in August as I have been planning?

I was thinking of trying FTP instead of PokerStars for a change. Don't really want to withdrawing from PS and then depositing to FTP. Was going to ask if someone wants to trade PS$ for FTP$. Anyone think that's a good idea?????

lololololololololololololololololol

I guess I'll try UB.

Hello Kyle,

Thanks for writing back.

Firstly, we apologize for the communication delays that resulted in the
misunderstanding of your account status and related accounts.

We are reopening your account with one account restriction, this is that
you may only have transfer abilities up to a maximum of $50 per day.
Full Tilt Poker does not support, endorse, or encourage the type of
transfer history evidenced with your account.

Full Tilt Poker's player-to-player transfers are a privilege and should
not be conducted in the manner as expressed by your transaction history;
mainly for the purpose of bankrolling other accounts for various
gambling activities other than Full Tilt Poker's gaming.

While it is completely understandable that many players on the site use
player transfers to repay debts, bankroll other players, and the ilk, it
was the large-scale nature of the operation that raised eyebrows
regarding your account and all other related accounts.

In regards to your transfer-related accounts, these players will be
reopened if they have provided valid identification and proof of
address.

We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the
course of this investigation.

Should you require anything else, please write back, and we will be more
than happy to assist you.

Best of luck at the tables.

How could this happen to such a well-oiled customer service machine?

So wait a second, you were trying to ship bonus whoring monies to your non U.S. gerbils via FTP? I think it was a good gesture by you to offer to pay the payment processing fees, as essentially you're just using FTP as a free "western union" for your bonus whoring biz. I'm not trying to pry here, but didn't you know ahead of time that moving this kind of money would raise some eyebrows and at least get your account investigated?

At any rate, I'm glad it worked out for you. And once the UIGEA gets repealed I'm sure you won't have to worry about any of this B.S.

Still no emails back from Full Tilt. The best I can get is an automailer from support saying that they'll get back to me in 24 hours (of course, it's been close to 72 now -- oh well).

Glad Kyle got his account unlocked, but what about the rest of us?
