|
Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
yeah i would call too.
as an aside, i'm glad that it was actually a good player that called my deuces last night out than a donkey. i never knew your sn. |
Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
haha i thought u knew it was me or i wouldn't have said anything.

Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
anyone else?
i think if his range is primarily pairs it's a fold because i'm taking such a small edge this early(assuming he never has aa/kk), and as stupid as it sounds i think i can find a better spot. obviously if he has some unpaired hands in his range it becomes a clear call, and a call cannot be awful here of course. anyway i suppose i'm just looking for someone to tell me they have seen unknowns make this play w/ less than just pairs, and occasionaly show up w/ stupid random unpaired stuff. |

Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
i fold just because the structure to the tourny is so awesome and you have to call off your chips so early with Ace hi. It really is irrelevant what he has. Thats unless you want to gambooooooooollllllllll

Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
What do you think villain would be doing w/ AQ?
I dont really know him, but given the weird action in the hand, and aejones saying he's a spewmonkey, i'm guessing AQ is in the range, and we gotta call. |
Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
By my calculation, you are getting about 1.13 to 1, and against a hand like JJ you are 47% to 53% to win. So your cEV is about 2578 for a call. Meh, I guess I fold and hope I'm the one to get his stack later.
Edit: If I have a read that Ax is in his range, I call. |

Edit: If I have a read that Ax is in his range, I call. [/ QUOTE ] It's an easy call if anything other than AK and XX is ever in his range. I don't know him but I would guess it has to be. |

[/ QUOTE ] well w/ AQ i expect him to raise the limper first time around, or just call my raise. again though, this assumes an unknown. At the time I had no idea who the dude was. Clearly if I knew he was a spew monkey i'd snap call. |
Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
Unless i know he's a nut, i likely fold.
|
Re: early stars $320 150k gntd hand
yea, i did fold. this just happened though which makes me feel less comfortable about it. obv it's a different tournament but the two tournaments are probably fairly close on the donkishness scale.
