I thought it was 'you don't talk about fight club'
Is this fold standard for limit? |
Re: i forgot rule #1
I don't remember for sure but I'm pretty sure I did the math like 4 years ago and to play a hand like this for set value alone it's not profitable unless you get the dreamiest of boards and setups.

Re: i forgot rule #1
Schneids I think I found the dreamiest of boards and setups

DONT FOLD A PAIR IN LIMIT [censored] HOLD THEM |
Re: i forgot rule #1
so schneids since its only me and you in here let me run a hypothetical situation by you
Lets say I play nl50, am a marginal loser, and take no heed to math, odds, or even logic really when I play cards how would I do in a game like limit? |

[/ QUOTE ] Putting in 3 SB with 13SB already in the pot. I think a set is 7.5 to 1 IIRC so you'll need to get 8 more SB in. Maybe this will happen, but I think the main worry, actually, is with all that raising, overpairs are seeing all 5 cards and who knows if your set will even hold. |

Rule #1: DONT FOLD A PAIR IN LIMIT [censored] HOLD THEM [/ QUOTE ] UNLESS YOU ARE AN ADVANCED PLAYER LIKE PHIL LAAK AND PLAYING AGAINST TEH MACHINES. DONT LISTEN TO JENNIFER TILLY PHIL WHAT DOES SHE KNOW ABOUT BIG LAYDOWNS [ QUOTE ] July 24th - 3:38 PM PST Phil +$1290 (488 hands played) Big Hand. Hand 488 sees Laak dealt pocket Kc Kd. Phil raises - Polaris calls. Flop comes Qh 2h 4d. Phil raises again, and Polaris just calls. Ac hits on the turn and Phil pauses. Tilly chimes in from the crowd saying Polaris may know the ace is a scare card. Phil folds his Kings and and his lead is down to $1290. [/ QUOTE ] |

you have a pair.. I thought you didn't fold pairs in limit holdem, I mean it's only 4 bets for you to call preflop, seems like a bargain.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] cards woulda been different, whatever [/ QUOTE ] not on stars, troll. [/ QUOTE ] um, can someone explain this please? [/ QUOTE ] http://www.drdonnica.com/images/celeb_madden.jpg EEEuhhh, you see you've got a poker room over here http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/7...enroom1jq3.jpg and in the poker room you've got limit games over here http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/6...enroom2ec2.jpg and no limit games over here http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/7...enroom3ba8.jpg And uhhhh, the limit games are limited, and the no limit games don't have a limit to them. If you're a player who plays poker, then you want to play a game that either doesn't have a limit or has a limit. So, then BOOM http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/9...enroom4mv7.jpg You go on a limit table, and you get some cards and you start playing your cards. Then you get a hand... you get a hand and and and and and and you want to bet that hand, because it's a good hand. But it's a limit table. So then, if you go to a different table, a different table that doesn't have limits. Well, the cards you get will probably be different. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/3...enroom5sm8.jpg And then Brett Favre will come over (and he's obviously the best quarterback to ever live, because he's a player who plays the game) and he would probably say something to where he thinks the cards will be different. |
