I think it was universally determined that TILT was terrible and generally a very bad idea.

I like Bronx is Burning -- but that is probably because I am old and the 76-78 Yankees were my formative baseball years as a Yankee fan. Good memories and cool seeing Munson, Nettles, Rivers, Healy, Yogi and all the others back together again (and all hating Reggie).

Script seems way to jumpy and the tie in with the Son of Sam and other events in 1977 adds little to the plot.

The show was worth it if only for the massive and hilarious comment threads it generated here, and for the poster (whose name I forget) who created this image:

I enjoyed it for trainwreck value too, and the WSOP stuff at the end (Hellmuth berating Mr Blond etc) was awesome.

I think Doyle said that he didn't like it because it depicted cheating in poker.

I was once trapped in a hotel room in Fullerton, CA with a bad case of food poisoning and East Coast jet lag. When I finally stopped the vomit/sleep cycle I had been in all day, it was 1 AM local time (4 AM EST). The only thing on the limited TV I had that wasn't an infomercial was ESPN playing a Tilt marathon. I actually started wishing I was back in a vomit/sleep cycle about half way through.

I totally agree! It was one of those guilty pleasures that was funny for all the wrong reasons. After lurking here in 2+2 for ages, I finally registered so I could share a funny comment about the actress who plays Miami (but IMDB lists her character as "Ellen," go figure.)

Matt Roush describer her in this Q&A as one of those actresses with "show killer syndrome," or a sure sign a TV show is doomed. Bwah!

I just had to share. That is all.
