Re: Your Average Poker Session

My problem is always getting myself motivated and going. Once I start loading tables up though I tend to play for awhile. It's doing that 1st one that's hard.

Re: Your Average Poker Session

I'm playing fixed limit to clear bonuses at the moment, so I just can't play over an hour because after that session I only want to go cry and not think about poker anymore.

Re: Your Average Poker Session

$25-$50NL

12 Tables

1.5-2.5 hour sessions

3 times a day for full time play, or once a day if I'm not playing full time that day.

Anything more than 2.5 hours in a row leaves me burnt out.

I think a small 30min-1hr break is good if you can take it.

My sessions are, unfortunately, usually around 1.5-2 hours, but I aim for sessions more like 3 hours. It's not that hard, but I feel totally exhausted (mentally) afterwards. It's REALLY hard for me to imagine guys that really play full time, like 6 hours a day or something. Wasn't loloTRICKDu like a total machine on Party?

Re: Your Average Poker Session

4 tables. Normally 1 hour or so. I tend to go off # of hands because it's easier to keep track of, but I guess that my guidlines are still set based on a time that I want to play for. I can play up to 2 hourse but that is very rare for me.

Anywhere from 3-6 tables for 4+ depending on how long my donkaments last

darkcore 07-31-2007 06:58 PM

Re: Your Average Poker Session

right now it is 6-8 tables for up to 7 hours.

but it's full-ring pot-limit omaha.

when i play 6-max unlimited hold'em i force myself to take at least a 30min break every 2 hours... ...if i don't i become a spewtard.

Re: Your Average Poker Session

I do 1.5-2.5 hrs session 12 tables 100NL twice a day. Just finish 50k hands this month.
My goal for August is play a bit more and get at least 55K hands month.

How in the world...lol

I usually play 2 tables but have dropped it down to 1.

Usually when I'm playing I'm surfing the web or watching TV or something and it makes it very difficult to get reads playing 2 tables.

I know people say to just play ABC poker but I find that even playing ABC poker requires having reads to maximize your profit.

Oh and I'm just starting to build my BR again from practically scratch so it can only handle 1 table.

one of the nice side effects of playing at only 100nl is a generic read seems fine to me: "opponents are muppets"

Re: Your Average Poker Session

4-5 tables, normally 400NL 6max (200NL at the moment since July sucked)

Used to do 5-6 hours straight - 1 session per day, now I'm trying out 3 sessions per day about 1 1/2 - 2 hours each. Seems to be helping me stay focused much better.

1500 hands per day on average, 5 days per week.
