Poker Stars - The Checks in the Mail!
 

A friend and I both orded checks weeks ago - nothing yet!

Stars said they will not even investigate until 15 business days have elapsed.


I withdraw in Feb and the check was that same week. It seems things have changed.

Anyone else having problems or experiencing delays getting paid?

Just wait 15 business days? I've never had an issue getting a check from PS.

I suppose they say 15 working days to make sure it IS lost, and not just delayed.

What would you do if you cancelled it, then it showed up next day??

And besides, they WILL cancel before 15 working days. You will have to pay for it though. I did one last week, cashed out and cancelled about 3 days later (my fault, mis-managed bankroll). Payed $15 money was back in my account within 24hrs.

I should have checked my mail before posting - the check arrived today - thanks all.

By the way - if you are interested in the timeline - here it is....


Requested a check on 7/9.

The check was mailed by Stars on 7/18 and arrived 7/20.

They used to take exactly 1 week and have recently increased to 2 weeks for some reason.

I have 4 pending, the first of which was requested on the 8th or so, so it will probably arrive today.

I repeat, 15 working days!!!!!!! If it aint been that long, it aint worth wasting ANYONES time. I agree, checks have been taking a bit longer lately, but its hardly the end of the world.

I've seen the same thing. My first 8 or so checks always got to me in a week or less and the last 3 have been exactly 2 weeks.

Stars is the only site I wouldn't worry about if I hadn't got a check in time.

requested check the 16th it was sent out the 18th and I just got it today.

Deposited without a problem.

I thought it was like 48 hours or something... or maybe thats FTP. Pretty sure you dont have to wait 10 days though...

How much do you guys generally cash out...Americans taht is. I havent cashed out since the whole law change fiasco, and I am needing to cashout some, being uncomfortable most of my net worth is on a poker site and all. anyway, I was just wondering if I am better off doing it in installments of a thousand to be safe or if there is some specific number that increases the time to receive the checks and what not. I am not in a rush to get teh money, just looking for the safest surest way to withdraw for an american... thanks

Hey I've heard that the checks they mail out are very ugly. I'm a little curious about this... can someone scan and upload a picture of them? They should probably black out the bank that it comes from. Thanks.

No, I totally agree. But I've heard that some banks have been putting up a fuss because the checks look so suspicious.
