Who is DN talking about?
 

In daniels latest blog, he says..

"There is one WSOP Champion, an absolute genius of a player that's routinely sabotaged himself after making even a marginally bad decision. He has the belief that if he isn't playing perfectly that he shouldn’t even bother trying. I've had many talks with him telling him that his 65% game is good enough to win and sometimes you'll have to depend on that"

I have to believe he is talking about Huck Seed, as I believe this was mentioned by him previously?

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

"In the meantime, I'm flying out tomorrow afternoon to Vancouver for 10 days to shoot some commercials and stuff for PokerStars. I used to have some friends in Vancouver but they moved back to Toronto so I have no clue what I'll be doing with my free time, suggestions welcome! I might even bring my golf clubs, but I wouldn't even know where to go, or with who? If I don't do much of anything with my free time it will at least be a good opportunity for me to catch up on my writing and stuff like that."

doesnt this guy have a wife to hang out with?

Huck Seed.

DN plays a similar style. Lots of limping, little re-raising, keeping pots small (now everyone does too)

They are pretty close friends, gotta believe it's Huck.

Carlos mortenson i think. I doubt he thinks Huck is a poker genius and it's a known fact he is very close with carlos as well as speaking highly of him all the time. carlos had chips and blew it again so he fits the profile.

Anyone who has played with him will tell you this is wrong

Could he be referring to a guy who won a championship event in something other than NLHE? That would open up a whole new bunch of people, but in fairness I am way beyond caring what Daniel writes about in his blog

Actually Daniel has spoken very highly of Huck in the past (as well as other players have). I remember Daniel and others speaking specifically about how Huck might be the overall favorite in the National HU Championship format.

No I'm saying that not even someone as prone to hype as DN would call Layne Flack a poker genius.

Although since you ask I've never gotten the sense that Layne Flack loses interest in the tournaments he plays. If anything when he blows up it's because he's having too much fun.
