Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)

After a string of impossibly long NC thread titles, we've now been reversing the trend. Does size matter, or is short the new long? Anyway, enjoy!

Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)

By the way, I've been in Henderson since Sunday and have yet to play any poker on the strip. I guess when I play I'll probably play 15/30 at the Wynn. I've got some more house set up to do and my parents are coming down to visit on Saturday, so I might not play until next week.

I also need to make sure I have cash because moving is an expensive thing to do.

i posted a similar hand a while back entitled absolutely mashing it up and i think the consensus was when it's obvious the other guy has pair or better, then our doing this oop is slightly -ev.

there's a similar post in smallstakes right now with a low straightflush draw on an ace high board--worth checking out

In fact, that hand, I'm pretty sure I c/c it down. In fact, I don't think there is a better way to play it. Your flop raising might have an edge, but it can't be that big.

Especially if you can't hit one of about 18 outs - TWICE!.

I was down like 60BB at .5/1 last night and pulled out of it. So just do what I did.

First, step A. Get owned a lot.

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Final Pot: 17.50 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Kc Kd (three of a kind, kings).
UTG has Ah Qs (straight, ace high).

Step B. Continue to get owned, but narrow it down to just by bennyhana.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Step C. Proceed to play like crap, yet find a way to make money somehow.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Turn: (4.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP checks.

River: (4.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

I'm wondering if y'all have noticed certain times that are better games online in general. I stayed up all night playing Monday - and from about 1am on, it was unbelievably juicy; and not the kind of juicy we look forward to these days, this was the best kind of juicy - loose, passive juicy. I've got a PT graph of my 2000 hands I played in that session - it looks like the inverse of Mile's monkey tilt graph. I ran at 8BB/100 for the 2000 hands, and it was only a little luck.

It just got me thinking, are there certain times when the majority of the solid tags are at work or getting wasted or something?

So Aaron, do you play for a living?

Nah... I'm a full time math professor at Nevada State College -- or at least I will be in the Fall.

Re: Serious Question (some content)

IMO

Friday - Sunday &gt; Monday - Thursday.

7pm est - 2am est &gt; other times

Depending on how big your PT DB is, you can also look at that weekly hourly breakdown deal of your winrates. I do really well late nights, but get hammered in the mornings.
