Convince me to stake you (#2)
 

I cannot take credit for the originality of this thread, as Bakes was the first person to come up with this idea. However, I am now allowing people to contact me if they are interested in being staked. Some things need to be said:

1) Yes, you can post your graphs/busto stories here. Tell me why you want to be staked. Why I should stake you, etc. In the words of Bakes, "in a way you['re] writing a poker resume."
2) PM me your e-mail address. This way I can privately contact you and we don't have to discuss details in an open manner.
3) I will help you win. You should be able to win on your own, but basically I will want to sweat/coach you for an hour or so a week. I currently play and beat 10/20 NL and 25/50 NL.
4) I could potentially stake someone at MSNL or HSNL, but there needs to be exceptional reason to.

I can beat 5 dollar HU sng's. I have played 726 and have about that much profit.

I beat 25nl on party for 4.xxbb/100 for 110k hands.

Also beat 2/4 limit on empire/party for 2bb/100 for around 250k hands.

although i mainly play sng's and some tournaments (micro limits only) i would like to begin to learn cash and break into the poker world...i think im a smart guy that learns quickly and have never been broke but because of outside poker conditions currently have a minimal bankroll...check PM's for my e-mail address...thank you for the opportunity and good luck with whomever you choose.

nl100 for the most part, br never exceeded like $1300 and was usually $4-500 which is part of the problem. the other thing i did poorly was play endlessly, like have a good 3 hour session and then just play 4 more hours and lose it all, mental stuff.

I've been a winning player for 650,000 hands. I'm not a huge winner, but I have won consistently through mostly nitty play. I have never moved up super high because I'm uncomfortable with having that amount of money in poker sites. At peak I played 10/20 6-max limit and 400 NL.

Earlier this year I cashed out almost all my online roll as I was extremely frustrated and tilting, leaving myself only a small amount of $$$ on wsex.

Since then I've built that up into a legit $100 NL roll playing everything from 25NL up to 200 NL on wsex.

I'm a great grinder and I will be happy to play tons of hands and learn from you.

I'd love to get staked but I'd rather work my way up myself, I think that's more rewarding and would help my game a lot more than taking the "easy road". It can also lead to suicide but it's ok.

im playing NL10, but i LOVE taking shots at NL100 after a bad session! also I play too high donkaments from time to time.

lol my bf told me he wanted to stake me for big tournaments but i told him i wasnt ready but then he said just try one first so i played a ten dollar sng and got first BRAG!! lol lost the next six but then i was on my way even though im back at 5 dollar ones now ;<) lol the lesson is that staking is not always the right thing to do and even if you do get staked BE CAREFUL because you might lose!

I did not, because I was way busy with poker playing / vegas preparations / etc. Now that I am robusto again (espec thanks to last nights Super Tuesday score), anyone who posted in the earlier thread should PM me again to let me know they are interested. Nothing lengthy needed at all, just let me know that you are a potential stakee and I promise to get back to you within the week [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

High stakes sounds like fun? I played 25/50 last month for a bit - but being rolled for a proper shot sounds like fun, playing on like 5 BI = not so good.

I started with a $300 roll at 100NL, have played 150K hands since and never been busto. I currently 4 table. I've played and won as high as 200NL, I constantly cash out and use my roll to pay down my CC. Since I've started to live with in my means and no longer need poker I've virtually stopped playing the past 3.5 months. I have $400 in my account but wouldn't mind starting at $200NL. With a stake, some sweating and coaching, and given my new philosophy I would be playing to get better and move up, not grind a few dollars, potentially making us both more money in the long run.
