Does anyone know if you have to choose online or TV, or do you get both if you sign up? May want to watch part online at work, and the rest on TV when I get home. Thanks.

You do if you want to watch it. The ME final table is audio only on WSOP Live.

Does this mean we need to pay for audio coverage?

Ah yes what what would poker be without all the donks forking over $50 to watch the live ace rag all in internet donkfest.
I`m rolling in laughter.

Re: WSOP Pay Per View

everybody is a donk now. so what if i want to see final table of WSOP, it's not like it's the biggest poker event, ever...?!

some of you go and buy porn every now and then, i buy meself a PPV of a final table for 16$. Speaking of donks, if you are one, then you can't afford this 16$...

No, no holecards shown, for multiple reasons.

Seconded. Without the hole cards you view the action as if you're at the table and going through some of the same thought processes as the players. Plus, it makes for entertaining guest commentary from the pros as they try to read the strengths/weaknesses as the action unfolds. Hellmuth, for one, is great at it and an enjoyable listen.

No brainer for 20 bucks.

preach on

You know it's good when you don't even care that others were getting it for free when you paid for it

I got it for free, but I would have paid for it. And I'm not a Phil Gordon fan by any means, but he was pretty solid at doing hours upon hours of commentary and interacting with the other pros they rotated in every half hour.

Some guy in the televised section said they would be showing hole cards. He didn't post a source, but I aswell hope there are no hold cards. It's much more exciting without them.

RacersEdge 07-14-2007 12:19 PM

Re: WSOP Pay Per View

Phil Gordon was great last year. The thing had a cool vibe going - people playing for $12 million, but none of the over-produced BS most big sporting events get. I hope it stays the same and none of the ESPN "regulars" are anywhere near Vegas for this show.

Is this in HD?

Looks like Canadians are screwed. This is an email from Viewer's Choice:

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for your email. Here at Viewer's Choice Canada, it is always
a pleasure to hear from our subscribers and to address any questions you
may have.

Poker events have always proven to be popular with our viewers.
Unfortunately, however, we were not able to obtain the broadcast rights
for this year's event.

It always seems hard for the cable people to find this event- I just called Comcast and the guy searched for 5 minutes and could find it. He thinks it just not listed yet??? Anyone else get this?

I had this same problem last year. It'll show up on one of the ESPN PPV channels. I believe they're in the 500s. If you go look there it should be up by now. You probably won't be able to buy it yet, but it should be up there.

Re: WSOP Pay Per View

For NY residents using Time Warner Cable, at least in Queens, it's on channel 421.

I also watched this last year and thought it was great - first four hours of commentary aside. Definitely worth the price.

Regarding ESPN online, be wary. You could easily end up buying the online coverage for 20 bucks without realising it. It looks like you are ordering the TV feed, but no no no...

I am going with TV so I can Tivo it...

Re: WSOP Pay Per View

last year i ordered it on cox in las vegas and the channel appeared 24 hours before the event. it was in with the rest of the espn ppv events. i wouldn't worry about it not being there until like monday evening/tuesday morning if it's not there.

I have Comcast, I just called, and they ALSO had no idea what it was and couldn't find it. Then I searched on my TV Listings menu, zoomed ahead to Tuesday, 3 pm Eastern, on channel SPPV1, which is 701 on my package, might be different on yours.

Hope that helps.
