New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

Bodog has added another payout method to the site, NuChage. NuCharge has been a deposit option for a while, but is now listed as a payout method. I believe you buy phone time and can cashout phone time credit on Nucharge. Anyone have any more information on this new method? I have sent an email to Bodog, but would love to hear everyone's experience with it.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

Do a search on these forums, but if memory serves, there were all kinds of threads about how shady an operation NuCharge seemed (for deposits, at least). Several reports of poor CS and funds not showing up where they were supposed to.
That was 6 mos. ago though so things may have changed. Guess we'll see in the coming weeks...

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

well i just got this email back from bodog when i asked about nucharge

Dear Mr. [censored] GUINEA PIG

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service.

Effective July 6/2007 we have been able to establish NUcharge as a
payout option. Please note, as NUcharge has been your sole deposit
option since NETeller ended its relationship with US customers, any
payout request must now be sent through NUcharge.

We expect that the new NUcharge payout option will be more expedient
then the current Check by Mail/Courier payout time frames.

• The maximum amount that can be paid out per transaction is $2,500.
There is no limit on how much a client can request in a single payout or
have processed in a day/week/month. As with all payouts, clients are
permitted one free per month, with additional requests costing $20.

• Once a payout has been credited to the client’s NUcharge account, they
can withdraw the funds via Direct Deposit (like DBT), Bank Wire or by
using their NUcharge Cirrus/Maestro Phone Card.

For exact details on receiving your funds from NUcharge, please contact
them directly. We have provided their contact information below:

NUcharge customer service: 1-866-760-1861
Email: support@NUcharge.com

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

From the looks of the NUCharge web page it looks like you get a phone card that has Maestro and Cirrus written on it. Is Cirrus part of the ATM network? Could you take the card to an ATM and cashout your balance?

CanIPlayII 07-06-2007 02:51 PM

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

Cirrus is part of the Mastercard network. There are 10 within 2 miles of my house that would be awesome. 1 free then $20 for a month is MEH then card fees. Say they have a $500 max withdrawal, $2.50 per withdrawal, $45 to get $5000 a month out. Sounds Good!!
I miss WU!!!!!

They don't, Bodog will transfer your payout to your Nucharge account, you then must request an ACH payout through Nucharge which to my knowledge has never been done by anyone here yet. Rumor has it, it could take 30 days for Nucharge to ACH the money into your checking acct. So anyone that get's this whole process successfully completed into their checking account please post how long it took. I hear Nucharge sucks for customer service and payouts. Guess we'll all find out soon.

Yes it now is, and Bodog is saying if you have deposited via Nucharge then that's who they are processing your payout through. I hope Nucharge comes through with fast ach's. As I said before that remains to be seen.

I just called Bodog and they said that you can only cash out as much as you have deposited with Nucharge. So for most of us this is totally useless.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

Cashing out as much as you deposited is wrong...I hope, otherwise that's insane. It took less than 12 hours for Bodog to transfer to Nucharge and Nucharge said 3-5 days to hit the bank. If it doesn't, I'm heading to Costa Rica.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

I urge everyone here not to use Nucharge.

I tried to deposit there twice and both times my card was declined. I emailed them asking what I could do to fix it and without any authorization or feedback they decided to process BOTH of my attempts to deposit. I did not have enough money in my bank account to cover both deposits as I tried to spend every penny I had each time.

For some reason Nucharge refused to cancel the purchases and told me I'd have to wait a week to cash out my funds. I was charged a $35 overdraft fee by my bank for it and Nucharge refused to take any responsibility for their negligence. [censored] them, they charge unreasonable fees anyway.

They also have many copycat webpages for the same service which seems extremely shady to me. One is MakeADeposit. I know I've found more in the past but I can't remember their names.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

I withdrew $1000 from Bodog on Thursday, it hit my Nucharge account on Friday. I immediately withdrew it to my bank account. I checked today and it says pending but under related transactions it says transaction declined.

I called customer service and someone immediately answered (Bodog front company?). They gave no valid reason for the decline only that maybe the transaction timed out (I guess because of the weekend?) and that there was no problem with my bank account. It would take 18-24 hours for the money to re-appear in my Nucharge balance and then to resubmit the withdraw to my bank.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

There is no physical ATM card. It's just a picture according to Customer Service. I think they plan to get it in the future but nothing now.

BTW, just talked to another guy who said because the bank closes at 4:30 or so on Friday, if they were overwhelmed with transactions that mine probably timed out so resubmit it once the money is back on my balance and it will take 1-3 days. Sounds weird but we'll see.

This will definitely get me back on Bodog if this option pans out. Currently, I only play at Stars b/c I have their paytru card and it makes cashing out so easy.

So nobody has ever received any money from Nucharge yet?? Then your balance has disappeared? This is not good. Please let us know what happens. I'm about to withdraw again from Bodog and I feel they are going to force me to use Nucharge because I used them to deposit money before. I don't trust Nucharge at all. Their site has had a lot of glitches, problems, and to my knowledge has never paid anyone yet.

BTW, they have had this payout option for over a week, I'm not saying they are not paying, I just would like to know when someone actually gets paid. If you read the Bodog payout thread you can see Nucharge has a sister site that someone requested an ACH payout and after thirty days of nothing had to request a check to be mailed to him. I just want to know, on my up coming payout, if I need to just demand a check from Bodog vs trusting Nucharge to ach my bank. That's all. When someone finally gets paid via Nucharge, I'll be satisfied.

Well I am currently giving this a try. I deposited $150 tonight using Nucharge and then set up my bank account info for withdrawal from Nucharge. As luck would have it I won the $5 rebuy that just ended on Bodog, so now I am going to withdrawal to Nucharge and then to my BA. I will keep everyone updated on how it goes.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

These people are shady as hell and unbelievably inconsistent.

I sent a support question asking about my declined withdraw and they responded with saying my withdraw was successful. Note, I did not resubmit my withdraw. This is the first one, the one they said "timed out" and was declined.

That was yesterday. Today it's not in my bank account so I call. They say it will take 5-10 business days to hit my account since it's an echeck.

I argued with them and said that echecks/ACH payments clear faster than regular checks and shouldn't it be nearly instantaneous? They said no. I said you told me 3-5 days and once 1-3 days. The lady said, what's it say on the site and I said 3-5 days. She said exactly. ?????

If it's not in my account in 10 business days, I'm supposed to call back.

be aware: nucharge charges $5/ month "maintenance" and 3% of total withdrawal...

sooooo, can you beat the rake + 3% consistently?

mo42nyy 07-13-2007 02:57 AM

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

where does it say anything about 3% of the withdrawl
It just says 5 dollars for ACH

my bad, it's 3% on deposit

j2zooted 07-13-2007 04:34 PM

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

so if u get one withdrawal per month, u pay 5$ for the ACH + 5$ monthly charge = 120$/year to have access to your own money. thats garbage, not to metnion that this service has been up for over a week now, and no one has reported successfully getting their money out through nucharge.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

I finally see a pending transaction for a transfer from NuCharge to my bank account.

On 7/8 I transferred $500 from Bodog to Nucharge. For a couple of days, the transaction showed up as pending on the first screen (transaction details) in nucharge and as declined on the third screen (related transactions). Around 7/10 or 7/11, the transaction status was updated to show "succesful" on both screens.

On 7/12 and 7/13, I checked my bank balance online but did not see the transaction. I contacted support and they told me it can take 5-10 business days from the date it shows up as succesful in Nucharge to the date it shows up on my bank account.

Today, 7/14 very early AM, I just checked my bank account again and the transaction is listed as pending for $500 with a date of 7/16. It looks like this method might be a viable alternative to checks as long as we can process large amounts.

Thanks for the update. I also have one that went from pending to successful and I was pretty concerned that it didn't show up in my bank account after nucharge said it was successful. It looks like this is standard though since your transaction is now showing up with your bank.

For how long though?

I think Bodog is probably the number one target of the DOJ since it is the biggest sportsbook and because of the contempt Calvin Ayre has for them.

I'm not trying to be negative, just trying not to get my hopes up.

Actually, this might be the Gettysburgh of the whole online gaming war. If the DOJ can't stop Bodog, then the UIGEA is probably dead.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

I got the same response when on the phone with them about the comeback of the WU withdrawal option. They only had one company processing the withdrawals and they apparently got overwhelmed.

Same with the checks...no one seems to want to cut the checks and the one place that they have that does it is having trouble keeping up/they dont want to fire too many checks out a day to perhaps stay under the radar.

The guy on the phone said that their goal is to have WU back up for football season.

I really think that this will happen. Football season is HUGE and having WU as a wd option will be a massive attraction for people looking to throw some money around.

I think that it will be ready in a month, but that could just be positive thinking.

Re: New Bodog Payout Option - NuCharge

I'm glad that Nucharge seems to payout faster than getting a payout via check. Also good to hear about WU coming back, I don't understand why it went away in the first place. It's funny that football (not poker) will cause WU to revive, of course that's a bigger cash cow for them, Guess Calvin realizes that football bettors won't use Bodog at all if the current payout situation still exists.

Double posted from other Bodog thread because thought it might fit in better here, thought I was putting it in here instead of the other one.

Question for you NUCharge people. I am trying this method and today a transfer showed up in my bank account and it says it is from some long number. NUCharge is the only thing I caould imagine it could be. Did it come up as a long number like an account number for you? Also did they ship your money in different segments? Because the transfer was for less than I requested, (requested ~5k, received little over 1k). Or maybe this is just from something else alltogether that I forgot about.
