My first time firing 3 barells

Villain was a loose passive player over about 50 hands, i seemed to just call,call,call(35/5/.8), i haven't seen him show down any big hands yet

i have never done this before but i felt this was a perfect opportunity to do so, i just don't see how I went wrong

Fold PF! A9 is terrible.

i would just check the river since your hand has showdown value. there's no need to turn it into a bluff.

I think on a flop like this it's hard to really rep anything and you will get called by mid pairs a ton.

Don't bluff a calling station... And bet like a man on the Q

I give up after the flop call.

2 barrels is good vs non calling stations

1 barrel is good vs calling stations

Really don't raise A9o UTG, especially when the calling station has the button on you. This is just not a winning play.

Postflop is really bad. Like everyone says, don't try to bluff a calling station. Pretty much ever. Especially OOP.

Re: My first time firing 3 barells

the problem is this play looks like what it is a bluff... the hand you are representing on the flop is an overpair but wouldnt an overpair slow down a bit on the turn when the board is paired?? think about how it looks from your opponents point of view your play doesnt make much sense and if he has a 5 your making it very easy for him. as others have said the main problem was raising utg with a9 in the first place. playing these weak aces oop is extremley difficult and usually unprofitable.
