Virtual PC on Mac
Im about to buy a new computer. I multitable and play about 10 tables at a time. Ive heard macs are better computers and run well. How well does Virtual PC run? If I buy a mac, will I be able to run pokertracker, pokerace, and 10 tables at a time with 2 GB Ram without trouble? Should I just buy a PC?
Thanks in advance. edit: Changed title. -Sam |

[/ QUOTE ] You can run Boot Camp or Parallels and it will be just like running a PC. |

any opinions on mac vs pc? [/ QUOTE ] If I were you this is exactly what I would do: Buy a Mac and run Windows XP using Boot Camp or Parallels. Boot Camp and Parallels work in different ways to allow you to run separate operating systems on Mac hardware. |

Re: Mac for Poker
Do you have to buy windows to use Parallels, Virtual PC, or boot camp?
If so, can I use the license from my old windows based laptop? |
Re: Mac for Poker
Yes, yes, yes.
If you have an OEM licensed copy of windows on your laptop, you can't (legally) install on another machine. If it is a retail version, you can. |

Re: Mac for Poker
english please. me no speaka the computer.
Thanks in advance. Are there pluses and minuses to either? |
Re: Mac for Poker
Parallels is more convenient because it runs on top of OSX so you can run it like any other program on your Mac. Boot Camp allows you to boot into Windows when you start your computer. It is more powerful because it is running natively.
