varrrriance. I probably lay it down, if he's willing to push preflop then he has some definite leaks later down the road.

I still fold. From my experiences, people who reraise from just pushing prior usually have big hands.

Re: Quickie preflop

For 20-30 BB I call, but for 50 it's kind of borderline, leaning towards fold unless he's a total spaz. You're either racing or crushed, while very occasionally ahead of 66-88.

You need like 46% equity. Even just 77+,AJ+ will get it.

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

934,917,984 games 0.005 secs 186,983,596,800 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 46.348% 45.61% 00.74% 426394068 6924342.00 { 99 }
Hand 1: 53.652% 52.91% 00.74% 494675232 6924342.00 { 77+, AJs+, AJo+ }

And if he shoves with more pairs and less big cards it just gets better obv:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

832,179,744 games 0.005 secs 166,435,948,800 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 47.262% 46.44% 00.82% 386494680 6807468.00 { 99 }
Hand 1: 52.738% 51.92% 00.82% 432070128 6807468.00 { 66+, AQs+, AQo+ }

So if he's making a habit of this it definitely looks like a call and you can prolly add some real random hands into that range.

I call. Hell, I call this a lot with no history and I'm positive it's profitable.

If you're not gonna go on tilt when he snaps you off with A3off, sure, call.

I figured this was a call, looks like most people agree. IMO at worst we're usually flipping coins, but a good chunk of the time he only has one big card.

Here he had AKo and I lost the coinflip.

I think this is a fold. One raise before this doesn't mean he is pushing trash. You need to give him a somewhat wide range just to make this a break-even call. Wait for a better spot.
