Re: help me remember how to play poker
Find a way to get all the monies in. Bet and call all-in is probably standard.

Re: help me remember how to play poker
approx 100 bb stacks
isura, isn't this a terrible board to bet and call all in on? we're behind AA/QQ/JJ/AQ and only ahead of a crazy person who shoves AJ/AK/KT/T9s |
Re: help me remember how to play poker
TT,99,88, 77, etc too. You have a good pair in a big pot, get money in.
|
Re: help me remember how to play poker
Maybe NL600 is considerably more aggressive than I realize, but I'm guessing TT-77 are just folding this flop to a bet. It isn't really a squeeze situation in which UTG expects Hero to be light, is it?

Re: help me remember how to play poker
i instacheck flop and pilot to showdown, as cheaply as possible but never folding
|
Re: help me remember how to play poker
oh god bet/call all in is probably the worst line

Re: help me remember how to play poker
bet / call is definitely the worst line ever.

Re: help me remember how to play poker
if i check flop my default is to check turn, unless i expect a turn bet to now induce a bluff shove or something
|
Re: help me remember how to play poker
First I thought bet/fold flop - I think it's rare villain raises a worse hand, AJ, for example, is probably not in his range.
But, depending on the opponents agressiveness, check-calling all streets might be a better route. |

hero checks, villain checks turn 8h putting two hearts up move? [/ QUOTE ] Check again. Let him take a stab if he wants. |

[ QUOTE ] hero checks, villain checks turn 8h putting two hearts up move? [/ QUOTE ] Check again. Let him take a stab if he wants. [/ QUOTE ] Do we bet river if its checked again? I feel that it gives mid pairs and Jx a cheap way to stay in the hand. We would bet this flop with air, or maybe sometimes take a stab on the turn. But how often does it go check/check and he pays us on the river? It seems we are hardly ever bluffing in that spot. He also pretty much never bluffs when the first 2 streets are checked down. |
Re: help me remember how to play poker
Isura,
The difference in this hand is that we DONT have air. Sometimes you have a hand that is just impossible to extract money from. Stop looking for value in bets made but rather understand that the value lies in picking off a frisky AK or random TT type hand. |
Re: help me remember how to play poker
checkkkkk

Re: help me remember how to play poker
