I thought this was a really interesting way to kick off the season. It was a gamble and I think it worked. I loved it.

Best Entourage episode ever.

Adrift and seemingly repeating the same old story lines and themes last season (yes, we get it, you're living the life) they finally took the characters someplace and showed a new storyline and a new way of telling it (although all I could think of were the old M*A*S*H episodes set as part of black and white newsreel footage).

All the while, the humor was still there (the Geghan stuff was brilliant) and the managed to get a hottie in there.

Really well done.

it was a good recap show, setting up the whole season. I loved the documentary style.

The real season begins next week, i thought turtle/drama are reverting back to their season1 roles, which could be good or band.

Hated the way they did the doucumentary. Other than that, loved the ep and we actually thought it was funny how Walsh was flipping out and interogating everyone about [censored] the girl.

Not even close to the best episode tho. Best episode is A day in the Valley with the blackouts and vince on the roof at the highschool party, so many hillarious quotes in that one.

A few things:

- I thought the idea to do the whole fake onset documentary was trite and horrible, but it was executed very well.

- That chick was banging.

- It was pretty cheesy when Walsh broke down.

- Vince looked more like Commander Mark in make up than Pablo Escobar.

This episode was pretty damn good. Some of it was bad though. The quick snippets with Ari were so out of place. Also Rubenstein getting pinched for cocaine was weak. Everything else though was great.

This was the first time they have done the show even close to this style, and next weeks previews have it back to how it was...Either way, the office is an amazing show so it wouldn't be a bad thing at all if Entourage adopted some aspects of how they do The Office.

FWIW I am dangerously obsessed with the Office and it's my fav show ever, but I just didn't like how Entourage adopted the character close-up style of things.

Give me a break. This was just one episode of 40 that has used this method, and it was totally appropriate considering what was developing in the plot.

Great episode, few weird devices they used but overall this is definetly one of the best ones, for showing a different dynamic.

I don't get any of the comparisons to The Office. I didn't get that interpretation at all when I watched it tonight. The Office is a mockumentary that is meant to be funny. I watched tonight and I interpreted it as something they'd film and put on a DVD as a behind the scenes of the shooting of Medellin type thing. It was done very well, and I enjoyed it a lot.

I really enjoyed this episode, and lol at the Bob Ryan book hahahahaha. And I don't get the hate with the snipets of Ari. I felt like there wasn't enough of him in this episode.

Plenty of television series have done a single episode in documentary format. The fact you believe Entourage is ripping off The Office is laughable. The Office may be original in the fact that the entire series is done like a documentary but it isn't like they were the first to discover the format.

Entourage threads are the new Lost threads inasmuch as they're a great way to tell who is a [censored] idiot and who isn't.

This was obviously a one time device used to get a [censored] load of exposition done in a half hour. Also, The Office was hardly the first show to do this.

I loved it. This episode finally has me stoked about Entourage once again. Can't wait to see a successful Drama going nuts in LA. Also was nice to get a glimpse at the making of the movie instead of just skipping it altogether.

Agree.

I mean, we're supposed to hate him, but I hate him more than that. He's Janice [censored] Soprano without the glimmer of hope that he might get wacked.

Mostly Walsh sucks up time that would be better used with Turtle, Drama and Ari (btw, LOVED how Ari was used in this ep).

I enjoyed this ep. I was torn between "gosh I wish they'd spent more than oen ep shooting" and "thank god that was over". I think rushing it was a good choice.

Also, to anyone who can't just enjoy this show, I feel sorry for you
