Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

I remember reading about the site on here months ago and checked it out again today. I am a bit frustrated with ways to get money online and this sounds ok if its legit but I am nervous about how few posts there are about it on any poker forum.

Guess not.

Any opinions on this?

I know people that use that site and are happy. They say a little hassle registering, admin is fussy there, but they like having there money at one spot under their control.
Limited to two sites, Eurolinx and Wingows, but more supposed to open soon. I will be joining when they get some Mac friendly sites.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

I have used the PIC club. I find it very easy to use, I like the Idea of making money even without playing. If you haven't read how it works I suggest you go to their site and check it out. I really believe it will become the best money management on the net. Yes right now only a couple of rooms available from MGS but I see on their pages they have a deal with DGS in the works so hopefully they will have alot more to offer soon.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

lolol Yeah BigSuitedAce and RoyalPain are 100% gimmick accounts hosted by the site (read: scam) owner. I tried to go to the site but before it loaded firefox came up with a warning saying that the security certificates did not match up and it was possible someone was trying to intercept my traffic with the site.

Lol, wouldn't touch this pic club with a 10 foot pole.

No not really. This crap should be moved to BBV or OOT or somewhere else if you are looking for nothing but entertainment value. I mean this is nothing but crap that doesn't belong in this forum. If you want Mr. Mike Haven, I am sure someone could write ya an FAQ about what does and doesn't belong in this forum.

Edit/Edit/MH: I've decided it was unfair to lock this. OP seems to have been asking a legitimate question. Other readers may be interested in hearing or giving comments about pic-club. The two apparent shills haven't done it any favours, so if it was a spam attempt, it backfired. I don't see any harm in unlocking the thread.

Skallagrim 06-19-2007 03:18 PM

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

I know the folks who started Pic-club, and while I dont appreciate the apparrent spam attempt either, I can tell you that this company is NOT a scam but a legitimate attempt to create a new and legal online funding method.

I suspect that they are only the fourth or fifth new company out there, and that there will be many more as time goes on.

Whether the company has succeeded in its efforts to provide a valuable and useful funding method, and/or whether its worth your time to check them out .... well you folks will have the final say on that.

But I add this post only because I think it important to recognize and discuss EVERY new funding company/method that comes up. I neither endorse nor represent Pic-club, nor do I condone spam. But I agree with M. Haven, Pic-club's existence and method of operation is worthy of further discussion, if only to encourage and educate others to try similar new companies. Somebody someday has to come up with something better than epassporte, and I expect to read about it on 2+2 first.

Please excuse the bump. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this company since the original post. Obviously these folks have done themselves no favors with this spam, but Skaligram says he knows them and that they are legit, and I respect him. Also Eurolinx has a $100 bonus based on using pic-club to deposit. So, I've been checking them out a bit. Anybody?

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

I would like the opportunity to reply to the apparent mis-representations that are being posted about the PIC-CLUB.

We are an online processor that has been in business now for 12 months and open for 6 months and we have built a terrific product. Our membership loves the flexabilty of moving their funds and the 24/7 customer support is top notch.

We are now expanding to numerous poker rooms and even sportsbooks. I made the trip to Barcelona and met with the TOP rooms in the market today and will be announcing their joining the PIC-CLUB over the next 2 weeks.

Eurolinx which is part of the Microgaming network is advertising us all over the net as the preferred deposit method for the U.S. market. Have a look at their website and you will see PIC-CLUB as a deposit option right along side of Neteller and others. Look for the other 45 rooms to come on soon.

We have arrived as a company and are poised to grow exponentialy over the next few months. I would be pleased to give any of your members a personal tour of the PIC-CLUB.

Please let me know your thoughts on this and feel free to share this information as you see fit.

Best Regards,

Chuck Kidd

I haven't tried pic club but it does however look promising It will depend on how much i use prima.

I set up a quicktender to find out they charge like 10-20 per withdraw doesnt make me want to play there for that.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

I used it successfully to deposit at Prima. Fees were a bit high but the process was pretty smooth.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

Hi Chuck,

Welcome to our forum. I used Pic-Club to deposit to Eurolinx and am getting ready for my first withdrawal. Am I reading correctly that there is 9% rate to withdraw to my checking account? Also, how long does it usually take for me to recieve a check if I use that option?

pipermax 10-22-2007 05:18 PM

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

Have been wary of commenting on PIC-Club with my first post for fear of being flamed as a spammer but I successfully deposited and cleared the Eurolinx special bonus over the weekend.

Total fees are probably comparable to EPassporte but without the 7 business day waiting time, total elapsed time from sign-up to actually playing in game was about 15 minutes.

Most impressive was customer service when I encountered a technical glitch that wouldn't allow me to log-in to PIC-Club to withdraw my funds. When they were unable to correct the technicality, CEO Chuck Kidd personally CALLED ME to assure me a check had been cut and was in the mail.

Again, excuse me if this sounds like a spam post from a newby, I've just been frustrated trying to find info on this particular deposit method since the original spam attempts back in June. All the flaming only hampers a free exchange of info, which is what this forum is all about after all.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club?

Hi Groo and thanks for the welcome.

Any and all processing fees at the PIC-CLUB are a direct result of the UIEGA. We do not make money from the players as the poker rooms pay us for doing their processing.

The fees we assess are a direct pass through from the various clearing houses and banks that we do business with. ACH is nearly impossible to get and only by being a legal Trading Company was I able to aquire it. That being said the Bank does know that ultimatly the funds go to poker rooms so they hit us with a high rate because they can.

I am working at every turn to lower the processing fees and as I succeed I will pass the reductions along to our members.

Here is a list of our Withdrawal options, please ask our excellent 24/7 support team for help if you need it.

Regards,

CharlieK

Hello, Charlie,

Congratulations on the launch and on getting through the banking thicket. Thanks for posting the customer costs information here.

As you know, we have looked at your services for our customers.

What I still have been looking for is more customer feedback before committing to adding your services. I would appreciate feedback from veteran 2+2ers who have been using PIC-Club.

So, could somebody who has actually put money into this site shed a little light on this?

I went onto their site, but didn't find out exactly what the deal was. What the heck is the shares thing?

The fees look very high. They say you can deposit using a credit card but the fee is 5%, plus 9% to cash out. I can't really imagine a CC working in this day and age.

Could somebody please explain exactly how they are getting around the restrictions? what is the trick?

Again, it looks like fees, fees, and more fees. And no mainstream poker sites.

I am uninterested in going through another Neteller.

Thanks,

Tuff

A bare statement of "I think you should start using them" is as useless as a thread regarding females (in any capacity) that is lacking pics.

Re: Has anyone tried Pic-Club? PLEASE post your experiences here.

Hi Tuff,

There seems to be a mis-conception about withdrawals and fees and I want to clear it up.

We have all the standard fees that any e-wallet has on withdrawal. Company check, Certified Check, W.U you name it we have it and at normal and competitive market fees.

What we have different is ACH or direct withdrawal to your bank account via oursoftware/youraccount. We are tied to a network that is virtually impossible to get for gaming. To have this service the ACH is charging us 9% per transaction. I can't lose money so if you want to use this method for deposits or withdrawals, I have to pass on the fee.

It is just 1 option not the only one.

As to the shares and how it all works, it is in our agreement for you to read, but I will go 1 step further.

Every Friday I work in the office between 9:00am 3:00pm MST. While there I login to support and answer calls so I can get direct feedback from our members. If reading the agreement dosn't answer your question feel free to call the toll free #866-542-CLUB and ask to speak to CharlieK.

I will be happy to explain it to you.

I hope you and other 2+2ers join the CLUB. There is strength in numbers.

My first withdrawal went smoothly. I didn't like the 9% for the ACH so I had them FedEx a company check to me. The fee was $25 for the Fed Ex and the check was free. If I had had them send it via regualr mail, the whole process would have been free.

This is accurate. The biggest site is Eurolinx which is Prima/Ongame, but there seem to be some good bonuses with some of the sites that they do work with. In non-lawyer language when you deposit to your account you are actually buying shares of the company.(please read our agreement) We then sell those shares to the poker room you choose. The poker room then deposits the money they paid for your shares in your players account. PIC is an International Authorized Trading Company. We are sort of like the Charles Schwab of the poker world. There is an exclusion in the UIEGA for trading companies. So I bought one and became the 1st to trade in poker.
