Look at his bracelets and Greenstein analysis, seems like it's NLH and weakness is Limit.

Still a top pro, but his stock has taken a dive on my books. He used to be my favorite but seeing how he acts and talks is so lame.

Jamie "king of the minors" Gold, i might add. well jamie can say he has alot of live experiance, thats about it. i heard the guy grinded 24hr sessions for 2 years like a junkie in L.A. when poker got big

Did you see them cuddled up on PAD last week??? It showed a brief glimpse of two people sitting very close to each other on a sofa in the background and the commentator said something like they had been joined by Gold and Johnny Chan...looked like Gold was trying to sit on his lap

Yeah I saw him playing minbet the other day on tv. Dude 4bets him and he folds for one extra bet. Woudln't even see a flop. What a fish

my former boss told me she used to deal to Chan and he was always broke and trying to borrow money to get into 1-3 and 1-5 stud games at the Bike and said he was an [censored] to everyone

When I busted Annie from the $5K NLH WSOP in '03 (she limp-reraised with KK; I held AKs and we were both somewhat shortstacked, and of course I windowed an A), she berated me for about thirty seconds, telling all who would listen what a crappy, stupid player I was. I'm generally a nice guy, so when her rant was over, nobody said a single thing and the table was kinda tense.

Chan then said, deadpan: "I would have done the same thing, Annie." It was clear to me from context that he knew it was a timing joke.

I have had several negative experiences with him, however.

All the hate rumours usually stem from an incident involving Chan while hes @ the poker table.

He was in Van. recently for his invitational tournament and my friends and I ended up being seated next to him at a restaurant. We started talking to him and ended up joining our tables together, ordered bottle service and got completely wasted...he's an extremely cool dude to chill with, and he insisted on covering the bill @ the end.

He was down to roll w/ us to Brandi's (stripclub) after but ended up meeting some friends back @ his hotel.

It's understandable that he has a negative rep. w/ alot of people as he does act like an arrogant [censored] towards people who suck at life...saw this alot during the tourny...but if your not socially inept or dealing him coolers, he can be a really nice down to earth guy.
