Good movies

I've kind of gotten in the habit of watching a movie every night, and it is always kind of hard for me to figure out which one I should watch. I know this is kind of a lame thread but I don't think I've seen one like it lately. (At least on BBV4L, I don't read any other forums)

So I've already seen a [censored]-load of movies, but just list any good movies that come to your mind. GO

Re: Good movies

A couple of movies which I think were both based on screenplays, both with outstanding acting:

12 Angry Men (The original, with Henry Ford. The new one is good, but nowhere near as good)

Glengarry Glenn Ross. Brilliant piece of acting art, with actors such as Alec Baldwin, Al Pacino, Ed Harris and Kevin Spacey.

A few films from the 2000's that you should not have missed:

Amelie
The Life Aquatic with Steve Sissou (best soundtrack ever?)
Eternal Sunshin of the Spotless Mind
Intacto (Brilliant Spanish film, just see it)
Lost in Translation

You mean you have seen IT all. 'them' implies more than one, and as you know, there can be only one.

Re: Good movies

hi, foreign films that have heavily influenced many hollywood action movies, you should really give these a chance

1. A Better Tomorrow (chinese /w eng sub) - must see 10/10
2. A Better Tomorrow II
3. OldBoy (korean /w eng sub)
4. City On Fire (chinese /w eng sub) - inspired Resevoir Dogs
5. Infernal Affairs (chinese /w eng sub) - inspired The Departed

heres a preview (no rickroll bs, i promise)

edit: sorry i just noticed, dont watch the last 10 seconds of the first video, it spoils the ending.

There is a french movie called Demonlover that is so tight! I don't know where to find it though, I watched it on comcast on demand in one of those film festival sections. Actually, I don't even know that it is french, I just guessed that. Anyways, if you can find it, it is teh bomb!
