They aren't the official media. Last year if you went to the main WSOP website you got sent to CP for chip counts and live updates.
AFAIK, any accredited media can report on any of the events.

worldseriesofpoker.com has live updates that are powered by Bluff and pokernews.com It is the most accurate coverage there is.

Is this report a misprint?

Daniel Negreanu Takes a Hit
Shortly before the dinner break, Daniel Negreanu raises to 1,600 in the dealer spot and the big blind calls. The flop is 7c6dAd . The big blind checks. Negreanu bets 600 and the big blind calls. The turn is 8d and the big blind checks. Negreanu bets 1,200 and the big blind bumps it to 2,400. Negreanu calls. The river is 9c . The big blind checks. Negreanu bets 1,200 and the big blind calls, showing Kd4d for the flush. Negreanu mucks.

Seems so...very weird for big blind just calling Negreanu's bet on the river. Don't you get a penalty for not raising the nuts.

Isn't there only one tourney that does that? (Tunica?)

If they were using the "new" cards, he could have thought the board paired because the sixes and nines looked so similar.

Either way, he probably sucks if he c/ced the river with the nut flush in LHE.

I'm guessing it's a misprint, considering 1) they used the phrase "dealer spot" and 2) they have Daniel raising to 1600 PF at 300/600 blinds.

I was the big blind in this hand. For the record I checkraised both the flop and turn and then bet in the dark on the river before Daniel just called. Lucky the board didn't pair as Daniel claimed to have a set.

You still in it? If so good luck.

Curious, why the river "bet in the dark"?

Steve Paul-Ambrose was crippled when he ran into Louis Werman's Q-Q. That pot put Werman up to 200K.

Wow, i have borderline magical poker abilities.

I busto'd in an extremely uneventful way, basically folding the entier hour of poker i played, losing every small pot i played, and eventually getting it all in with my last 1.5 limit big bets vs strassa and losing a very standard A6<KThh.

GL to all left.

Carl Olson Eliminated

Carl Olson was all in pre-flop with 10-10 and was called by Jon "Pearljammer" Turner's A-K. Turner rivered a King to send Olson to the rail.
