Edit: In a good note though, in my short time at 200NL tonight, I am utterly convinced it can be beaten for a very good rate, especially the night games. I will be staying there and playing 100 and 200 both when I find good tables because I might be getting crushed but the tables were great

played a session of nl200 earlier 8tabling for an hour left with 2700 on the tables only up 300

played a second session 2hrs -190

first session ran good played bad, should have been +5-600 prob, second session ran bad played good

seems I can get half of it right

next session will be back at nl100 and hopefully the last one at that level(though prob not )

Re: ** Official June Chat Thread: The Flush **

please don't talk about how soft the nl200 tables are. I'm still in nl25 hell after busto, and miss those lovely tables..

I am however having fun trying different styles for different sessions. I've tried all sorts from lag to abc tag. Did a stint with Renton's FTR guidelines, which went okay.

I've found the most profitable session so far at nl25 to be something akin to set-mining with extras.

Raise the usual 4x + 1 per limper with the following:
Early: AA-99, AK, AQs
middle: add in AQ, AJs, KQs
late: AT, KQ, KJs

Call with 88-22 if any limpers in front and loose table, else raise with these hands too.

call standard raises with any PP, AK, AQs

If 2+ limpers, also limp with SC/SG. If 3+ limpers, also add Axs

Sometimes raise with ATC from late if first in on tight tables.

I thought this would be the lowest-return, lowest variance but it seems to be very profitable as long as you play decent postflop. But only 3K hands, so....

Can someone slap me straight and tell me it's variance plz?

I thought it was streaky. I seemed to be hitting a set with every third pair.

Mine wasn't so much doomswitched as dumb as hell. Sitting in a game with entire bankroll because I was bored, getting it all in in a 3way with two maniacs on the flop with AcTc, flop Ad Td 4h, and being sucked out by a flushcatching turn-river of 2 diamonds against one of the maniacs holding a AhQd

Sucks about that bankroll bust, did you post the hand anywhere? what was the table stakes? I have thought continuously as I grind about taking my whole bankroll to a 5/10nl table to see what happens, haven't done it yet though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't. I've done this a lot in thw past, and it's way too rollercoaster.

I had 4K - I'd rebuilt from 1.5K after big cashout in less than 3K (I think) hands at nl100 and nl200, and was playing nl200. lost to a few suckouts and tilted, lost 5 more buyins tilting, sat at nl600, lost a buyin there. Took a break, but got bored, and then joined a nl1K table and kept fullstacked until everything I had was on the table.

I really expect to triple up on this hand.

The $250 I reloaded with is my first rebuy since I started playing (luckily it too was won money too - $50 i had left in party I'd forgotten about which I put on 2 hands of blackjack and luckboxed up to 250 - I was intending to rebuy with 250, so that was my stop limit) , so at least I can still say I never put real money into pokah.

I didn't keep the hand. After the busto I went to bed, and came and looked at my graph the next morning. The big red line straight down was more than I could bear, and I wiped my stats.

I have gone from hating nl25 (as I have to play so different from nl100+) to actually having fun trying different things though.

Nittier works good at the lower stakes.

In all actuality, I would play more hands at 25NL because you will run into many more players who play bad post-flop.

But I still wouldn't be trying too many fancy plays.

Re: ** Official June Chat Thread: The Flush **

The worst "moment" I had online was simply four tabling and hitting four flops at the same time; getting all in on all four tables with big edges and getting runner runner river crap how can it happen to me like screwed out of every freaking red cent in space of like one second. Lost 6 or 7 buyins instamatically, not to think of what I win if the hands hold up.

Result of that is I can't even sit without 40-50 buyin or my head twitches a little to the left about six times a second.

You haven't made it to 1600 yet? I'm thinking by the end of next week we can expect that Pooh-Bah post!

Getting there slowly...

I was thinking of waiting, and posting it as I simultaneously win the HU championship.

Thoughts?

You can't beat me HU, NIT! Also, I didn't know I post so well that people wait for me to post

How is it that there are typically 20+ people online in the forum, but we routinely go 20-30 min without a post? Not an OP, but a post in general. I'm just curious, not that its necessarily a bad thing since we don't want the forum cluttered with bad posts, but I was wondering what you are all reading all the time.

Nah, post some sort of "brag" then but keep the Pooh-Bah for your 1600 post. You've held on for it this long so you can't abandon ship now!
