here's a mod I made for myself and it's free.
Disclaimer: I haven't yet tested it 100%.

instructions:

1. extraxt the everlong.twoplustwo.com folder to the xthemes folder in your PS installation folder.
2. add this to the xthemes.ini file (open with notepad or similar):

name=everlong sober
folder=everlong.twoplustwo.com\sober
base=simple@pokerstars.com
deck=simple

3. you should now be able to chose this mod in the themes menu.

I'd love this if I could get it with a tan/beige background.

the black on black is to much for me.

but thanks for putting it up for free.

I bought several of psthemes layouts which are cool...but ended up going back to hypersimple everytime.

it would take about 2 minutes to make and five to upload. make a jpeg of the background color you want and I'll hook you up.

edit: an even simpler solution; go to the folder you created; in the sober folder there is a file called bg.jpg. just change the color in paint, paint.net or whatever drawing app you have handy.

BTW all:

I played with it today and noticed 2 issues:

1. betpot script isn't working [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
2. my PAHUD layout does not look good at all with these boxes and will need serious tweaking (so will yours if you played on hypersimple)

Edit:

Did you modify the slider bar? Because that will mess up the betpot scipt. I made a mod like yours from the No Images theme and had to keep the slider bar brown to make the script work.

Any idea why Bet pot isn't working? This is a GREAT mod, but it's pointless if it means not being able to use bet pot.

I tried replacing the modified slider bar with the original brown one and the script seemed to work. Try that.

Thanks D, reverting to bown slider seems to fix it with betpot 0.2m out of the box.

Here's version 2 with brown slider and both the black and tan theme. Instructions as in OP but add this to xthemes.ini instead of that above:

(BetPot should work, TableNav requires adjusting to bkgr with ctrl-right-click on fold btn (see TabNav documentation). StarsUrgentTable does not seem to work. As for PAHUD I went on about having to make a lot of adjustments but that was before I knew about the coice "Use Stars Image-enabled theme". Uncheck this.

Sorry for a probably retarded question, but where's this xthemes.ini file you're referring to?

I can only find a themes.ini file with some gibberish inside when I open it in editor.

I just started playing on Stars and all their themes looked hideous, so this is really great. I went with sepia

Good job!

btw, any chance you can chance you can change the size of the opponents cards to make it easier to see who's in the hand and who's not?

is there a way to simply adjust the sepia theme. I play PLO and i cant see my stack size, the cards are blocking it.

Alright, I did this and now the themes show up in the list inside the client, but when I apply any of them, it just shows the standard PS theme.

I think Barnuthin made them free now (used to be like $5].

I have made a couple more themes but am too lazy to upload them, here are some shots. Shoot me a PM if you are interested or have any great theme ideas. I am currently semi-online.busto and am probably more +EV at making tables than playing cards.

If you have any ideas/specifics I am all ears. Making the table mod in itself is childsplay.

You can also always check out Psthemes.com (starting to look like I am plugging them - I aint) he has a bunch and they are a lot nicer than mine.

Does anyone know how to change the fonts, like the one of "Leave table" and "View lobby"? It's yellow in those themes where the avatars are removed, but I'd like to have them black like in the Hyper-simple theme. Copying the fonts map of the hyper-simple theme (ordinary) to mod in the xtheme map didnt seem to work.

Since they encripted the gx a while back I don't think you can change the font color. But if anyone knows a work around I'd be interested too. When you could still edit the gx I put an x in front of "leave table", "view lobby" and even "rake" and they were removed from table. Tables had a very uncluttered look.

I was trying to make a pokersstars mod, based on the hypersimple theme with no images. I wanted to grey out the 'seat open' boxes so I could easily see how many people were seated. I changed the border.bmp and the seat.bmp and the 'seat open' boxes succesfully greyed out. However, after these changes, the actions like 'Fold' and 'Call' also greyed out. And I'd rather keep those like they were, so the text white and the edge white. Does anyone know how I can solve this?
