Re: 6max hand

he's folding usually but you get an occasional call from spades with a 7 or ten. basically there's no reason to check because you don't get checkraised here very often at all.

Re: 6max hand

well maybe im giving him too much credit but this should be an autosexy if u can beat a3.

Re: 6max hand

Betting might have a slight positive expectation, but I'm checking because betting sets me up to get owned super hard. For me at least, the reverse implied tilt odds make this a clear check.

If you check you get to see his cards.

the other thing is he could sexy with a splitting hand too since your hand is pretty obvious here (there's little risk for him if he has A5). i like the check

i had that thought (well, not that he'd do it, but that it could be a good play) after i made the thread too.

i'm not sure if i like it or not. it's kinda close.

Yeah I agree with this for the most part if he knows you are good and would always raise the turn with a K. Otherwise he may think you are letting him barrel or slowplaying a K and he might not be inclined to get sexy. When you call that turn against me I know you have either an ace or a spade draw so I am always check raising you on that river with a K and most of my decent aces.

I always bet here. And I always get check-raised. And I always call. And I always lose.

Check looks good.

Guy.

He should be sometimes, right?

My default against good players is c/c, but I make it a point to c/r sometimes, especially when there are draws on board.

Re: 6max hand

I never bet here--if you bet your hand has pair of aces written all over it and even payoff artists like me can get away from a T here.

Re: 6max hand

yea i dont think we can get much value out here, i check behind to see his hand and gather information since i think he is really barely ever paying off here.

johnnyrocket 05-30-2007 10:03 PM

Re: 6max hand

I think the EV of seeing his cards is more valuable than the chance he calls a bet here.

You guys must play an entirely different set of opposition than I do.
